摘要: Systems and methods of a safety belt to be worn by individuals in the course of physical activities such as walking, running, biking, etc. Safety belts of the inventive subject matter include one or more sensors that are used to develop a kinematic status of the individual wearing the safety belt. Kinematic status information can be broadcast out wirelessly, and it can be used to determine whether to generate an alert. Some embodiments of the safety belt can detect the presence of a hazard in the vicinity of an individual wearing the safety belt.

摘要: In example embodiments, a machine, including one or more processors and a memory, tracks, by communicating over a network with a plurality of devices associated with a user, activity of the user. The machine develops, using the one or more processors, an activity model for the user based on the tracked activity of the user. The machine determines, an anomaly in a current activity of the user relative to the developed activity model, the anomaly having a type and a duration. The machine calculates, based on the type and the duration of the anomaly, a confidence value corresponding to whether the user needs assistance and a severity value indicating severity of the user's need for assistance. The machine provides, to an emergency contact and via the network, an alert indicating that the user needs assistance based on the confidence value or the severity value.

The notifying unit sends, in accordance with the act and an exercise ability of the monitoring target, a notification indicating that the monitoring target is likely to be exposed to danger.

摘要: A stairway safety system and method including movement sensors and/or force sensors, a safety button, a central processing unit, a user notify device configured to generate audio or visual indications prompting the stairway user to engage the safety button, and a communication device configured to send a message requesting help. The central processing unit is configured to measure the length of time between detecting signals from the sensors and also to instruct the first user notify device to generate audio or visual indications when the measured time between detecting the signals is shorter or longer than a stairway user's actual or estimated typical travel time through the stairway. The central processing unit is configured to measure time and to instruct the communication device to send the message requesting help if a safety signal is not detected within a safety time period which indicates a request for help may be needed.

A system embodiment includes, but is not limited to, a tag and a reader pair, the tag and the reader configured for individual positioning proximate a human appendage and an environmental object, wherein the reader is configured to identify the tag; a substrate configured to conform to the human appendage, the substrate coupled to at least one of the tag or the reader, the other of the tag or the reader configured to be coupled to the environmental object; a processor operably coupled to the reader and configured to receive one or more output signals from the reader, the one or more output signals corresponding to a threshold associated with the tag or the reader; and an output reporter operably coupled to the processor and configured to generate one or more communication signals responsive to instruction by the processor.

摘要: A system that monitors various conditions of a plurality of hospital beds located in different rooms of a healthcare facility is provided. Alternatively or additionally, other types of equipment may be monitored by the system. Various configurations of network interface units that are coupleable to or integrated into a hospital bed are also disclosed. The system receives data from the hospital beds and/or other equipment and initiates a communication to a wireless communication device of at least one designated caregiver in response to the received data being indicative of an alarm condition.

摘要: Provided are mechanisms and processes for generating a customized playlist of educational materials for an infant. In one example, a system includes an infant monitoring device and a monitoring hub. The infant monitoring device includes sensors that gather measurement data associated with the infant. The monitoring hub receives the measurement data from the sensors and analyzes the measurement data in relation to a development model obtained from a remote platform. Based on a comparison of the measurement data with the development model, the monitoring hub determines a developmental age for the infant, selects numerous learning content modules appropriate to the developmental age of the infant, and arranges these modules into a playlist.
