摘要: A system for obtaining a multispectral image of a scene includes a first light source, a second light source, at least one imaging sensor, and a controller. The first light source emits light in a first wavelength range. The second light source emits light in a second wavelength range. The at least one imaging sensor senses light in the first wavelength range reflected off of the scene during a first illumination sensing period and senses light in the second wavelength range reflected off of the scene during a second illumination sensing period. The controller is electrically coupled to the at least one imaging sensor. The controller interprets signals received from the at least one imaging sensor as imaging data, stores the imaging data, and analyzes the imaging data with regard to multiple dimensions. The first illumination sensing period and the second illumination sensing period are discrete time periods.

摘要: A method according to embodiments of the invention includes creating a three-dimensional profile of a scene, calculating a relative amount of light for each portion of the scene based on the three-dimensional profile, and activating a light source to provide a first amount of light to a first portion of the scene, and a second amount of light to a second portion of the scene. The first amount and the second amount are different. The first amount and the second amount are determined by calculating a relative amount of light for each portion of the scene.

摘要: A method of managing power usage of a depth imaging system including an image sensor having an array of pixels configured to detect light incident from a scene and an optical encoder configured to modulate the incident light detected by the pixels in accordance with an angle of incidence of the incident light. The method includes operating the system in a lower power mode corresponding to a first power consumption level, including capturing, with the pixels, image data of the scene having angle-dependent information encoded therein by the optical encoder, and identifying, based on the angle-dependent information, signature information in the image data indicative of a detection of an object within a specified depth range. The method also includes, in response to identifying the signature information, transitioning to operating the system in a higher power mode corresponding to a second power consumption level higher than the first power consumption level.

摘要: A photographic paddle and process of use thereof are provided. The photographic paddle is used for photographing interior or close-up vehicle exterior region features of a subject vehicle, and to rapidly produce high-quality images that are reflection-free and glare-free. The photographic paddle has the ability to produce wide-angle high-quality images and stereoscopic three-dimensional images that are reflection-free and glare-free. The photographic paddle has additional utility to photograph interior and close-up vehicle exterior region features of a subject vehicle in-situ in a densely arranged inventory lot without having to move the vehicle to and from a staging area. The photographic paddle has further utility as a versatile process that is able to rapidly adapt to changing photographic conditions as the photographic paddle moves relative to vehicle features to be photographed, ensuring capture and production of high-quality, reflection-free, and glare-free images without having to set the camera prior to each image capture.

摘要: An image sensor includes a time-resolving sensor and a processor. The time-resolving sensor outputs a first signal and a second signal pair in response detecting one or more photons that have been reflected from an object. A first ratio of a magnitude of the first signal to a sum of the magnitude of the first signal and a magnitude of the second signal is proportional to a time of flight of the one or more detected photons. A second ratio of the magnitude of the second signal to the sum of the magnitude of the first signal and the magnitude of the second signal is proportional to the time of flight of the one or more detected photons. The processor determines a surface reflectance of the object where the light pulse has been reflected based on the first signal and the second signal pair and may generate a grayscale image.
