摘要: An internal latent image-type silver halide emulsion containing core/shell type silver halide grains with a mean grain size of about 0.4 .mu.m or less, the grains comprising a core of chemically sensitized silver halide and a shell of silver halide covering at least the light-sensitive sites of the core and the surface of the grains being chemically sensitized wherein the core is chemically sensitized to such an extent that the difference between fog density F.sub.1 and fog density F.sub.2 as defined herein (i.e., internal fog density) is at least 0.10. This emulsion permits the formation of good reversal images in which D.sub.max is high and D.sub.min is low and, furthermore, has a superior storage stability.

A second coating liquid 11 is applied to the opposite surface of the web in the vicinity of the float region by a freely falling curtain film 12 or by a pressure extruded jet film 15. spThis is a continuation of application Ser. 摘要: Disclosed is a biaxially oriented film for electrical insulation having even better withstand voltage characteristics than before together with excellent film-forming properties. The biaxially oriented film for electrical insulation of the invention is a film that includes a substrate layer containing a crystalline thermoplastic resin as a main component. The substrate layer contains a phenolic stabilizer in an amount of 0.001 wt % or more and 3 wt % or less based on the weight of the substrate layer. The phenolic stabilizer is an alkylenebisamide-type hindered phenol.

摘要: A metallic protecting cover is formed from two axially split members, i.e. a first protecting cover member secured to a mounting eye, and a second protecting cover member having an overall length shorter than that of each of first and second cylinders and having a predetermined gap between itself and the second cylinder. The second protecting cover member is press-fitted into the first protecting cover member secured to the mounting eye to integrate the first and second protecting cover members into the protecting cover. Accordingly, the lower end of the second cylinder can be caulked in a state where the second protecting cover member has been temporarily assembled to the second cylinder. Thus, it is possible to ensure the required strength of the protecting cover and to increase the degree of freedom in assembly process.

摘要: A piston connected with a piston rod is fitted in an outer tube having a hydraulic fluid sealed therein, with the piston rod projecting out of the outer tube. A seal part for the piston rod includes a rod guide, a seal case, an oil seal, a dust seal and a securing member, which are inserted into an end portion of the outer tube and secured by first and second staked portions. The sliding part of the piston rod is sealed with the rod seal and a seal lip of the oil seal. The area between the seal case and the outer tube is sealed with an O-ring and a seal member. The pressure resistance of the seal part can be increased to a considerable extent by two-point staking by the first and second staked portions and two-stage sealing by the rod seal and the oil seal.

摘要: A plasma etching method by using a plasma etching apparatus having a depressurizable processing chamber; a lower electrode for mounting thereon a substrate to be processed in the processing chamber; an upper electrode facing the lower electrode in the processing chamber with a plasma generation region formed therebetween; a radio frequency power supply unit for applying a radio frequency power between the upper electrode and the lower electrode to thereby form a radio frequency electric field in the plasma generation region, the method comprising: supplying a first gas including etchant gas to an upper gas inlet to introduce the first gas through the upper electrode into the plasma generation region; and feeding a second gas including dilution gas to a side gas inlet to introduce the second gas through a sidewall of the processing chamber into the plasma generation region.

摘要: A multi-layer stretched film has 251 or more alternating layers which consist of first layers and second layers, wherein the first layers are made of a polyester which contains (i) 5 to 50 mol % of a naphthoic acid component as a dicarboxylic acid component and (ii) a diol having an alkylene group with 2 to 10 carbon atoms as a diol component; and the second layers are made of a thermoplastic resin having an average refractive index of 1.50 to 1.60 and differences in refractive index among a uniaxial stretching direction, a direction orthogonal to the uniaxial stretching direction and a film thickness direction of 0.05 or less before and after stretching, and the film has specific reflectance characteristics for a P polarization component and an S polarization component.

摘要: A plasma processing method is arranged to supply a predetermined process gas into a plasma generation space in which a target substrate is placed, and turn the process gas into plasma. The substrate is subjected to a predetermined plasma process by this plasma. The spatial distribution of density of the plasma and the spatial distribution of density of radicals in the plasma are controlled independently of each other relative to the substrate by a facing portion opposite the substrate to form a predetermined process state over the entire target surface of the substrate.
