Abstract:
A method and a first device for determining a group owner during establishment of a local-wireless communication connection are provided. The method includes searching for a second device that supports the local-wireless communication connection; searching, if the second device is found, for services supportable by the second device; determining an intent value of the first device corresponding to a group owner authority with respect to a service to be connected among the found supportable services; transmitting, to the second device, a negotiation message including the determined intent value of the first device; receiving, from the second device, a negotiation message including an intent value of the second device; and determining, from among the first device and the second device, a device having the group owner authority by comparing the determined intent value of the first device with the intent value of the second device.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for navigating content larger than a display screen of a terminal using a pointing device are provided. The method includes acquiring, when a pointing position is changed on a screen partially displaying a content that is larger than the screen, a current pointing position by tracking the change of the pointing position, comparing an X axis displacement and a Y axis displacement from an initial pointing position as a starting position to the current pointing position with a predefined X axis threshold value and Y axis threshold value, respectively, determining a movement direction as one of an X axis, a Y axis, and an XY (diagonal) axis directions based on the comparison result, and scrolling the content in the movement direction to display an off-screen part of the content.
Abstract:
The present description provides a method for allocating a device identifier through an initial network entry process with a base station in a wireless access system. The method comprises a step of transmitting control information, indicating a mobile station supporting Machine to Machine (M2M) communication, to a base station; and receiving a first message, comprising at least one of a first identifier indicative of a group to which devices belong and a second identifier indicative of each of the devices belonging to the group, from the base station.
Abstract:
An inspection method for inspecting a device mounted on a substrate, includes generating a shape template of the device, acquiring height information of each pixel by projecting grating pattern light onto the substrate through a projecting section, generating a contrast map corresponding to the height information of each pixel, and comparing the contrast map with the shape template. Thus, a measurement object may be exactly extracted.
Abstract:
A semiconductor apparatus has a plurality of chips stacked therein. Read control signals for controlling read operations of the plurality of chips are synchronized with a reference clock such that the time taken from the application of a read command to the output of data for each of the plurality of chips is maintained substantially the same.
Abstract:
A microelectronic structure includes a conductive pad on a substrate. The conductive pad includes first and second openings extending therethrough. A first conductive via on the conductive pad extends through the first opening in the conductive pad into the substrate. A second conductive via on the conductive pad adjacent the first conductive via extends through the second opening in the conductive pad into the substrate. At least one of the conductive vias may be electrically isolated from the conductive pad. Related devices and fabrication methods are also discussed.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a touch panel, including: a base substrate divided into an active area, a bezel area surrounding the active area, and a connection area provided outside the bezel area; sensing electrodes formed in the active area; and electrode wirings connected to the sensing electrodes and extended to the connecting area. Here, a predetermined portion of the base substrate is cut and the connection area is folded by using the predetermined portion as a boundary line such that the connection area is protruded outwardly from the base substrate. According to the present invention, the connection area is provided in the base substrate in a single body, thereby allowing omission of separate flexible printed cables, and thus, an attaching process of the flexible printed cable can also be omitted.
Abstract:
A mixture of brominated diphenylethanes is prepared by brominating diphenylethanes, comprises hexabromodiphenylethane, heptabromodiphenylethane and octabromodiphenylethane, comprises about 55 to about 85% by weight hexabromodiphenylethane, and comprises about 0.01 to about 30% by weight diphenylethanes substituted with an odd number of bromines. The mixture of brominated diphenylethanes can provide improved compatibility with polymer resins, as well as impart excellent flame retardancy and improved weatherability and thermal stability.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a gallium nitride (GaN) wafer is provided. In the method for manufacturing the GaN wafer according to an embodiment, an etch stop layer is formed on a substrate, and a first GaN layer is formed on the etch stop layer. A portion of the first GaN layer is etched with a silane gas, and a second GaN layer is formed on the etched first GaN layer. A third GaN layer is formed on the second GaN layer.
Abstract:
A nonvolatile memory device includes a memory cell array configured to store an authentication key and authentication key configuration information in first and second pluralities of nonvolatile memory cells, along with data whose security is to be protected, and a control circuit controlling an operation of the memory cell array.
