摘要： An image formation apparatus such as a copying machine has an image forming section including an optical system, an AE mode selection key for setting the automatic density adjustment mode, UP and DOWN keys for manually adjusting the density level, an interruption selection key, a control circuit including a microcomputer for setting a standard density level in the automatic density adjustment mode, and a display for displaying the selected density adjustment mode. Depression of the AE mode selection key for the first time sets the automatic density adjustment mode, and depression of this key for the second time releases the automatic density adjustment mode. The apparatus can reproduce copies of optimal quality for different types of original.

The total content of Fe2O3, ZrO2, and an oxide of the rare-earth element is not less than 90 mass %, the content of an iron oxide in terms of Fe2O3 is 10 to 90 mass %, and the absolute value of the covariance COV(Fe, Zr+X) of the composite oxide, which has been baked in the atmosphere at a temperature of greater than or equal to 900° C. for 5 hours or more, is not greater than 20.

The exhaust gas-purifying catalyst includes a first section to which the exhaust gas is supplied, and a second section to which the exhaust gas having passed through the first section is supplied. The catalytic layer includes a layered structure of a first catalytic layer containing platinum and/or palladium and a second catalytic layer containing rhodium in the first catalytic section and further includes a third layer containing rhodium in the second section. The second section is smaller in oxygen storage material content per unit volumetric capacity than the first section.

摘要： A client (such as a PC, portable telephone, PDA, electrical appliances), to which a device such as a IC card is connected, starts a handshake protocol to request a server to start communication. When communication is established via the handshake protocol, the initiative of communication is transferred to the server, and the state changes into a neutral state. In this neutral state, a control packet including a particular number of messages and a finished message is transmitted from the server to the client. If the client receives the control packet, the client performs a process according to the messages included in the control packet. This makes it possible to remotely control a device via a network in a highly reliable and efficient manner.

Because the amount of CeO2 is small, formation of H2S is suppressed and a high capability of adsorbing and releasing oxygen is brought out in spite of the small amount of CeO2.
