摘要： The present invention: provides a mold for continuous casting that makes it possible to prevent insulation from deteriorating when continuous casting is carried out with electromagnetic force applied to and produce castings of good quality for a long period of time; and is a mold for continuous casting, said mold for continuous casting being equipped with a magnet coil that imposes electromagnetic force on molten metal in the direction perpendicular to the inner wall of said mold in the vicinity of the meniscus of said molten metal in said mold for continuous casting, a pair of the first sets each of which is formed by combining a first cooling copper plate with a first back plate, and another pair of the second sets each of which is formed by combining a second cooling copper plate with a second back plate, and being configured so that a pair of said first sets each of which is composed of a first cooling copper plate and a first back plate are movably interposed between a pair of said second sets each of which is composed of a second cooling copper plate and a second back plates, characterized in that said first cooling copper plates of a pair of said first sets are interposed between said second cooling copper plate of a pair of said second sets in the state of being not electrically insulated from, but being electrically connected with, each other.

摘要： A video signal compression apparatus extracts a specific value written in a read only memory at every system clock pulse. The specific value can be varied at every clock pulse. Therefore, for example, only the center part of a picture can be horizontally compressed. A FIFO memory may be used. It is possible to select a mode with a fixed compression ratio or a mode in which a compression ratio varies at every clock pulse. Further, the fixed compression ratio can be set from the outside. Display position of the picture can also be changed.

摘要： A continuous casting method of molten metal using electromagnetic force to improve the cast slab surface properties and reduce the nonmetallic inclusions and bubbles trapped inside the cast slab is provided. An alternating current is run through an electromagnetic coil arranged around a casting mold so as to surround a casting space to control the meniscus shape to improve the cast slab surface properties. The discharge ports of a submerged entry nozzle are oriented upward and the direction of the discharge flow from the discharge ports is above the intersection of the casting mold short side and meniscus.

摘要： The present invention relates to a continuous casting apparatus for continuously casting molten metal. More particularly, the present invention provides a method and an apparatus for controlling a surface level of molten metal in a mold when molten metal is continuously cast. The continuous casting apparatus of the invention comprises: a mold in which molten metal is poured and solidified; and an eddy current type molten metal surface level sensor for detecting a molten metal surface level in the mold. In the continuous casting apparatus having an electromagnetic coil arranged in such a manner that the electromagnetic coil surrounds the mold and also having an electric power supply for generating a pulse magnetic field from the electromagnetic coil, there are provided a mechanism for taking out a pulse trigger signal corresponding to the magnetic field from the electric power supply, and a mechanism for controlling a time of detecting a surface of molten metal by the molten metal level sensor.
