摘要: An acoustical building panel and method of manufacturing it are disclosed. Embodiments of the panel include a porous nonwoven scrim, a coating deposited on the scrim, a base mat, and an adhesive deposited on either the base mat or the scrim in a discrete form such as in droplets. Embodiments of the method of manufacture include steps of perforating the base mat, applying the adhesive to the base mat in the discrete form, laminating the scrim onto the base mat, and applying the coating to the scrim surface.

摘要: The method includes applying a heat reflective coating to a substrate sheet of construction material and air drying the heat reflective coating on the construction material. The method is directed particularly to the coating of insulation material, such as fiberglass batts, at the time of manufacture, but may be applied to virtually any sheet of material in order to improve the insulation properties and structural value of the material. By completely encapsulating fibrous insulation material with the impervious heat reflective coating, the emission of irritant fiber particles and corresponding health hazards are eliminated. Also, the efficiency of the insulation material is improved by sealing out moisture when completely encapsulated by the coating.

摘要: Modularized insulation blanket for thermal and/or acoustical insulation. The modularized insulation blanket has a cover formed of a distal layer and proximal layer in sealed mated relationship. The distal and proximal layers are sealed along longitudinal and latitudinal heat-sealed seams that define a plurality of modules. The heat-sealed seam may be creased so as to be foldable and/or perforated to provide a tear line. Within the modules are batting blocks. The blankets may be attached to surface structures such as the interior skin surface of an aircraft fuselage, pipes or other structures with retention systems. The blankets may be formed in an apparatus including a platen, heat seal rollers or heating sealing mechanisms, and edge sealers.

摘要: A fire-resistant, composite panel comprising a core of rigid mineral fiber board having on one or both of its surfaces a layer of gypsum material bonded thereto, and in some embodiments, a layer of paper bonded to one or both of the layers of gypsum material opposite the core. A method of making a fire-resistant, composite panel including applying a thin layer of a settable gypsum slurry to one or both surfaces of a rigid mineral fiber board, and alternatively, applying layers of paper to one or both of the thin layers of gypsum material opposite the surface of the rigid mineral fiber board, and in either case, applying heat to the layer or layers of gypsum material to cure it.

摘要: A thermal insulating member includes a multilayer complex having first layer which is made of a hydrophobic aerogel; a second layer which is made of a fiber wool; and a metallic foil, called outer layer. The thickness of the first layer decreases along a variability direction of the multilayer complex. The thermal insulating member can be arranged around a vehicle component which extends in a longitudinal direction and which has a first end at a first temperature T1 and a second end at a second temperature T2 lower than T1, in use. In the mounted state, the variability direction of the multilayer complex is parallel the longitudinal direction of the vehicle component and the greatest thickness of the first layer is closer to the first end.
