Abstract:
An apparatus for detecting a phase error for a system such as a CD or a DVD having a multi-level input signal with an irregular zero crossing shift, and a phase locked loop circuit using the same. An A/D converter digitizes a signal read from the CD or the DVD. A phase error detect unit detects a zero crossing of the digital signal consecutively input from the A/D converter, and detects a timing error from a signal corresponding to the detected zero crossing. An error correction unit corrects a sampling timing error of the A/D converter by shifting a phase corresponding to the timing error input from the phase error detect unit. An apparatus for detecting a timing error having a tracking function reduces the amount of normal jitter and a dispersion value of the timing error in accordance with a signal to noise ratio.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a color cathode ray tube that can optimize the distance between a spring hole of a spring and a welded junction point and the distance between the junction points with respect to the weight of a mask-frame assembly. The color cathode ray tube includes the mask-frame assembly and a panel that are assembled together by fastening a fixing pin formed on an inner surface of the panel into the spring hole formed on one end portion of the spring of which the other end portion is fixed to the mask-frame assembly directly or through two or more junction points of a spring holder. The cathode ray tube satisfies the condition of 5.0
Abstract:
A power generation structure according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: terrain features spaced apart from each other at a first interval to thereby form a watercourse through which water can move in the front and rear directions; watercourse banks having a width narrower than the first interval and disposed on the watercourse to thereby respectively form equal-width watercourses having a constant width between the terrain features; a first water collecting bank disposed on the watercourse and formed in the shape of a tip extending from the front end of the watercourse bank on the basis of the moving direction of a tidal current, with the width being gradually decreased toward the front of the equal-width watercourse; and a second water collecting bank disposed on the watercourse and formed in the shape of a tip extending from the rear end of the watercourse bank on the basis of the moving direction of the tidal current, with the width being gradually decreased toward the rear of the equal-width watercourse.
Abstract:
An operation method performed by user equipment in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes: determining whether to switch a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) state; switching to a new DRX state and operating in the new DRX state, if it is determined to switch to the DRX state; and reporting the switch to the new DRX state to a network. The new DRX state is based on a new DRX cycle comprising on-duration for which a downlink channel is monitored and off-duration for which the downlink channel is not monitored.
Abstract:
A substrate transfer system includes a substrate transfer chamber between a substrate receiving port and a process chamber, the substrate transfer chamber providing a space for transferring a substrate between the substrate receiving port and the process chamber, and an ionizer within the substrate transfer chamber, the ionizer including a light source to irradiate electromagnetic waves having a predetermined radiation angle toward the substrate to eliminate static electricity of the substrate.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, the semiconductor device includes a memory array and a control architecture configured to control reading data from and writing data to the memory array. The control architecture is configured to receive data and a codeword location in the memory array, select one or more data units in the received data based on a data mask, read a codeword currently stored at the codeword location in the memory array, error correct the read codeword to generate a corrected read codeword, form a new codeword from the selected data units of the received data and data units in the corrected read codeword that do not correspond to the selected data units, and write the new codeword to the memory array.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods and pharmaceutical compositions for treating obesity or obesity-related disorders in a subject suffering from or predisposed to developing obesity or an obesity-related disorder, or for inhibiting the infectivity of HIV, by administering oleuropein, an analogue or derivative thereof, or the major metabolites of oleuropein including oleuropein aglycone, hydroxytyrosol, and elenolic acid or their analogues, or derivatives thereof, an iridoid glycoside, or a secoiridoid glycoside or analogues or derivatives thereof, or any combination of the foregoing including olive leave extract. The invention also relates to methods for screening/diagnosing a subject having, or predisposed to having obesity or a related disorder by measuring the expression profiles of an adipogenic gene selected from PPARγ2, LPL and αP2 gene and gene product, or other adipogenic, lipogenic, or lipolytic genes and gene products in an individual. The invention further provides for screening for novel oleuropein analogues.
