Accompanied by turning on power, power ON reset pulse from a power ON reset generation circuit is input to CPU and a fail determining circuit. After receiving the power ON reset pulse, the fail determining circuit intentionally outputs a fail detection signal. The CPU intentionally stops output of PRUN signal after confirming that fail detection signal. WDT confirms that output of the PRUN signal from the CPU is stopped in a predetermined time interval T and outputs PRUN abnormality signal. A reset pulse generation circuit confirms that PRUN abnormality signal is supplied from the WDT and outputs a reset pulse. A fail determining circuit receives a reset pulse and stops output of fail detection signal. When the fail determining circuit stops output of the fail detection signal, the CPU determines that the WDT, the reset pulse generation circuit and the fail determining circuit are in normal state. Thus, this monitoring system for electronic control unit is capable of diagnosing the WDT, the reset pulse generation circuit and the fail determining circuit at the time of self-diagnosis.

The irregular feeding detection device is a device to detect irregular feeding of printing paper 10 (the printing papers overlapped partially or overlapped completely) fed to a direction shown as arrow 90 in a printing machine. An transparent light amount detector 2b carries out a plurality of detection with predetermined interval when the printing paper 10 reaches to the predetermined starting position (FIG. 5A). Thus, the amount (value) of detecting light at a plurality of the detecting places (P1, P2 and P3) can be detected. For instance, when at least two pieces of printing papers are fed into the device, irregular feeding signal are outputted since the irregularity of feeding is detected at least two detecting places. It is possible to provide a plurality of transparent light amount detectors for detecting irregular state at a plurality of detecting places.

Stop plate (9), which is formed in a press from a single steel plate, has a boss (9b), flanges (9c) and a periphery wall (9a). The periphery wall (9a) reinforces the stop plate (9) and forms damper covers (9e) on the ends of the flanges (9c). The damper covers (9e) have a wall surface (9d) that surrounds the damper chamber except for an opening on one side of the damper cover facing toward the boss (9b). A rubber damper (11) with a torque pin (10) is mounted in each damper cover (9e). An armature (12) is secured to the torque pins (10) by staking. The opening in one side of the damper cover permits the rubber damper 11 adjacent to the opening to move toward the torque pin (10) when that portion of the rubber damper is subjected to a tension force. This movement of the rubber damper (11) reduces the maximum stress in the damper and increases damper life.

The length and the outer diameter of said cannula is sufficient for inserting the cannula into the femoral vein and for reaching the tip portion the left atrium passing through the cava, the right atrium and the interatrial septum. The portion (B) is made of a material which is more flexible than that of said portion (C). A resilient spiral thin wire is provided within the thickenss of the wall part defining the lumen of the curvature portion (B). The cannula is used for draining from the left atrium by inserting it into the femoral vein and passing the tip portion (A) of said cannula through the cava, the right atrium and the interatrial septum to reach the left atrium, without thoracotomy.
