    摘要: A plasma generating device for an internal combustion engine sets the generating-atmosphere pressure for generating plasma to the intake pressure, thereby achieving a reduction in the size, weight, and energy consumption of the plasma generating device and an improvement in combustibility. An internal combustion engine includes a throttle valve arranged in an intake passage having an intake opening that opens to a combustion chamber. An intake valve opens and closes the intake opening. A plasma generating device includes a plasma generator having a generating chamber for converting intake air into a plasma state to generate plasma. The plasma generating device supplies plasma to a downstream passage of the intake passage between the throttle valve and the intake valve. A gas control valve operates in conjunction with the throttle valve, and is arranged in an introduction passage between a clean chamber of the air cleaner chamber and a generating chamber.

    摘要: A sensor-incorporated wheel support bearing assembly includes a stationary outer member having a plurality of raceway grooves defined in an inner peripheral surface thereof, an inner member made up of a rotatable hub axle and an inner race segment mounted on an inboard end portion of the hub axle with a vehicle wheel being supported by the hub axle. The inner member has a corresponding number of raceway grooves defined in the hub axle and the inner race segment, respectively. Rows of rolling elements are interposed between the outer member 1 and the inner member. A to-be-detected member in the form of a magnetostrictive element is formed in a portion of the outer periphery of the hub axle adjacent an inboard side and remote from the raceway groove. At least one force detecting unit for detecting a change in magnetic strain induced in the to-be-detected member is provided in an outer race, which is a non-rotatable member, for detecting a force acting on a shaft coupled with the inner member.

The magnetic characteristic of the to-be-detected member (7) represents a substantially sinusoidal waveform rising and falling more steeply than a sinusoidal waveform at a zero-crossing point.

    摘要: In an OHV engine in which a pair of cylinder blocks is connected to the crankcase and power from a cam is transmitted to a rocker arm pivotably supported by the cylinder heads via connecting rods, to enable downsizing of the engine while reducing the number of components and the number of assembling steps. A part of the connecting rods out of the respective connecting rods are respectively stored in a rod storage chamber provided in both cylinder heads, both cylinder blocks and a crankcase between the cylinder axes of the adjacent cylinder bores in the respective cylinder blocks. The remaining connecting rod disposed outwardly of the cylinder axes of the outermost cylinder bores laid along the axis of the crankshaft is stored in part in a pipe member disposed at the position away from the outer walls of the cylinder blocks. In addition, the supporting shaft on the engine body is inserted into and supported by a plurality of shaft supporting members provided in the engine body and the arms are pivotably supported by the supporting shaft.

    摘要: To minimize change in duty ratio of an output signal brought about by a leakage flux and to obtain a sensor output stabilized even under an environment of use abundant of the leakage fluxes, a sensor-equipped bearing assembly 31 includes a rotatable race member 32 provided with a to-be-detected portion 1 having a magnetic characteristic in which N and S magnetic poles alternate with each other. In face-to-face relation with this to-be-detected portion 1, a magnetic detecting portion 2 is secured to a stationary race member 33. The magnetic detecting portion 2 is made up of magnetic sensors arranged in a direction circumferentially of the race members 32, 33 and each capable of providing an analog output. A differential output generating means 7 is provided for processing a differential output of the adjoining two magnetic sensors 2a and 2b as an encoder signal for one phase.

    摘要: In a hydraulic control device, when a solenoid pressure from a linear solenoid valve is not supplied to a brake, which is normally not engaged at the same time as a brake, not to engage the brake, a switching valve is supplied with a line pressure as a signal pressure for establishing a blocked/discharge state in which supply of the solenoid pressure to the brake is blocked and a hydraulic pressure can be discharged from the brake. When the solenoid pressure is supplied to the brake to engage the brake, the switching valve is supplied with a modulator pressure, which is lower than the line pressure, as a signal pressure for establishing a communicated state in which the solenoid pressure can be supplied to the brake.

    摘要: A vehicular lamp with an opening portion extending in a left-right direction provided on a side that wraps around toward a rear of a vehicle on an end side of an outer side wall of a mirror housing that supports a side mirror body includes a main lamp body including a lamp body and a front lens. The main lamp body is formed into a shape that generally follows the curved opening portion. The front lens is attached to the mirror housing so as to slightly project from or be on generally the same plane as the opening portion. The vehicular lamp includes a surface-emitting light guide inner lens provided along the front lens in a curved lamp chamber space and an LED used as a light source provided behind the light guide inner lens. The lamp chamber space is defined by the lamp body and the front lens. The lamp chamber space is elongated in the left-right direction. The LED is formed from: a first LED provided on the curved wrap-around side of the lamp chamber space such that an illumination axis thereof faces diagonally rearward of the vehicle, and a second LED provided adjacent to and on an inner side in a vehicle width direction of the first LED such that an illumination axis thereof faces diagonally forward of the vehicle. A concave portion for light source installation is provided in an area of the light guide inner lens corresponding to the first and second LEDs, and respectively forms light incident surfaces generally opposite to the first and second LEDs.
