摘要: A positioning unit of an access control and user tracking system includes an antenna, which is embedded in the substrate of a ceiling tile of a drop ceiling system. The antenna can be observable (embedded in the substrate of an exposed surface of the ceiling tile), or, alternately, not observable (concealed within the substrate of the ceiling tile). A pinhole camera for capturing video information is inserted through the substrate of the ceiling tile and protrudes from the exposed surface of the tile. A ground plane covers the unexposed surface of the ceiling tile. A control module, comprising a controller, a network interface, an antenna controller, a power supply, an omni directional antenna and/or memory for the positioning unit, is positioned on the unexposed surface of the tile.

摘要: Methods and systems are described that use multiple node-enabled autonomous transport vehicles on a single logistics operation having multiple legs performed by different transport vehicles with enhanced transfer of the item being shipped between such vehicles. A first or primary master node on a first node-enabled autonomous transport vehicle detects a signal from the second master node on a second transport vehicle, navigates to the second transport vehicle based on the detected signal and its direction, and may dock in a transfer configuration. At least one item (or a container with an item) is transferred as payload from the first to the second vehicle using one or more object manipulation systems on respective ones of the first and second transport vehicles. The second vehicle then detects a signal from another node, and navigates to that node as another leg in the multi-leg operation.

摘要: Communication objects and closed electrical circuits are worn by players within a gaming player verification system. These objects may communicate with associated player tracking units attached to gaming machines and other devices via radio frequency waves, and each communication object is adapted to alter its communication pattern in response to any break of its closed electrical circuit. Removal of such an object from a player cannot be accomplished without breaking the closed electrical circuit contained therein, thereby disabling or de-authenticating the device. A communications object may emit a signal which can be tied to one of two or more player accounts. One of the two accounts may be charged for a player transaction depending on the nature of the transaction. A computer server having a player verification program and database may also be used.

The method and system allow for navigational services to be provided to members and guests, and real-time tracking and confirmation to members and administrators that guests have arrived at their destination and did not enter any unauthorized areas. The method preferably can work through a system of wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons communicating with member and guest's electronic devices. Members and administrators can send one or more temporary electronic access keys to a guest's smartphone or other electronic device. Wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons provide an access control and location tracking system with real-time data about the member and guest whereabouts, allowing for the confirmation and tracking.
