    摘要: A process is provided for selectively producing diesel fuel with increased cetane number from a hydrocarbon feedstock. The process includes contacting the feedstock with a catalyst which has a large pore crystalline molecular sieve material component having a faujasite structure and alpha acidity of less than 1, preferably about 0.3 or less. The catalyst also contains a dispersed Group VIII noble metal component which catalyzes the hydrogenation/hydrocracking of the aromatic and naphthenic species in the feedstock.

    摘要: Diesel fuels which have good ignition qualities, good combustion emission performance and good low temperature characteristics are characterized by a cetane number of at least 45, a total aromatics content of 10 to 15 wt. pct., a polynuclear aromatics content of less than 11 wt. pct., a sulfur content of not more than 50 ppmw, a total nitrogen content (from all sources) of not more than 100 ppmw, and excellent low temperature flow properties as manifested by a pour point not higher than -12.degree. C. and a cloud point not higher than -10.degree. C.

    摘要: Low sulfur gasoline of relatively high octane number is produced from a catalytically cracked, sulfur-containing naphtha by hydrodesulfurization followed by treatment over an acidic catalyst system comprising an intermediate pore size zeolite having crystallites of an effective radius of at least 0.25 micron. The treatment over the large crystal acidic catalyst in the second step restores the octane loss which takes place as a result of the hydrogenation treatment and results in a low sulfur gasoline product with an octane number comparable to that of the feed naphtha, with the large crystal size improving gasoline yield by reducing conversion of branched paraffins.

    摘要: A hydrocracking process for feedstocks containing high boiling, waxy components uses a number of sequential beds of hydrocracking catalyst based on zeolite beta. The proportion of zeolite beta in the catalyst increases in sequence so that the final bed has the highest zeolite concentration. The dewaxing activity of the zeolite beta-containing catalysts is enhanced by the use of sequential beds in this manner. The pour point of the high boiling fraction is reduced, as well as that of the distillate product, permitting part of the high boiling fraction to be included in the distillate product, thereby increasing the useful distillate yield.
