    摘要: An engine with EGR system equipped with a variable geometry turbocharger and a particulate filter is provided in which the nozzle angle (nozzle area) of the variable geometry turbocharger can be controlled accurately and by a simple means in accordance with the change in the internal EGR rate due to deposition of particulate matter in the particulate filter, and the effect of EGR to reduce NOx emission is obtained in the whole operation range of the engine without deteriorating durability of the engine.

    摘要: A diesel engine system includes a diesel engine, a throttle valve, an EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) path, an EGR valve and a controller. The throttle valve controls a flow rate of intake air to the diesel engine. Exhaust gas is recirculated along the EGR path from an exhaust port to an intake port of the diesel engine. The EGR valve controls a flow rate of the exhaust gas. The controller controls the throttle valve and the EGR valve such that an opening of the throttle valve decreases and an opening of the EGR valve increases when a load of the diesel engine increases. The controller controls the EGR valve such that the opening of the EGR valve increases after the opening of the EGR valve is held constant for a first predetermined holding time.

    摘要: An organic EL structure is received in a gas-tight casing to construct an organic EL display assembly. The organic EL structure includes a hole injecting electrode, an electron injecting electrode, and at least one organic layer disposed between the electrodes. A desiccant selected from calcium hydride, strontium hydride and a mixture thereof is disposed in the casing out of contact with the organic EL structure. This EL display assembly substantially eliminates the influence of moisture and has a long lifetime.

    摘要: An organic EL device comprises a substrate, an organic EL structure stacked on the substrate, a sealing plate located on the organic EL structure with a predetermined space therebetween, and a sealing adhesive agent for fixing the sealing plate on the substrate and thereby closing up the organic EL structure. The sealing adhesive agent is a photo-curing type adhesive agent which, upon photo-curing, generates gases under heating conditions of 85° C. and 60 minutes. In these gases, the total amount of a low-molecular straight-chain aliphatic hydrocarbon which may have a substituent, an aromatic hydrocarbon which may have a substituent, an alicyclic hydrocarbon which may have a substituent, and a heterocyclic compound and a siloxane which may have a substituent is 200 &mgr;g/g or lower calculated as benzene. The organic EL device of the invention is reduced as much as possible in terms of a deterioration with time, and can maintain its initial performance over a long period of time, so that it can have an ever longer service life.
