摘要: A method and system for use in reconstruction and retrieval of phase information associated with a two-dimensional diffractive response are presented. The method comprising: providing (75) input data indicative of one or more diffractive patterns corresponding to diffractive responses from one or more objects (50). Dividing (130) said input data into a plurality of one-dimensional slices and determining (140) one-dimensional phase data for at least some of said one-dimensional slices. Tailoring (150) the reconstructed phase data of said one-dimensional slices to form a two-dimensional phase solution. The two-dimensional phase solution is defined by phase shifts of said reconstructed one-dimensional phase data of said one-dimensional slices. The two-dimensional phase solution thus enables obtaining two-dimensional reconstructed phase data suitable for reconstruction of image data (250).

摘要: The present disclosure provides a system for lens-free imaging that includes a processor in communication with a lens-free imaging sensor. The processor is programmed to operate the imaging sensor to obtain a holographic image and to extract, from the holographic image, a plurality of patches, wherein the plurality of patches is a set of all fixed-size patches of the holographic image. The processor is also programmed to generate a dictionary D comprising a plurality of atoms, wherein the dictionary is generated by solving min α , D ∑ i = 1 N E ( x i , D , α i ) + λ R ( α i ) , where N is the number of patches in the plurality of patches, xi is the ith patch of the plurality of patches, αi represents the coefficients encoding the ith patch, E(xi, D, αi) is a function measuring the squared error of the approximation of xi by the weighted combination of dictionary elements, and λR (αi) is sparsity term.

摘要: In-line holography to create images of a specimen, such as one or more particles dispersed in a transparent medium. Analyzing these images with results from light scattering theory yields the particles' sizes with nanometer resolution, their refractive indexes to within one part in a thousand, and their three dimensional positions with nanometer resolution. This procedure can rapidly and directly characterize mechanical, optical and chemical properties of the specimen and its medium.

摘要: Systems and methods for uniquely identifying fluid-phase products by endowing them with fingerprints composed of dispersed colloidal particles, and by reading out those fingerprints on demand using Total Holographic Characterization. A library of chemically inert colloidal particles is developed that can be dispersed into soft materials, the stoichiometry of the mixture encoding user-specified information, including information about the host material. Encoded information then can be recovered by high-speed analysis of holographic microscopy images of the dispersed particles. Specifically, holograms of individual colloidal spheres are analyzed with predictions of the theory of light scattering to measure each sphere's radius and refractive index, thereby building up the distribution of particle properties one particle at a time. A complete analysis of a colloidal fingerprint requires several thousand single-particle holograms and can be completed in ten minutes.

摘要: A method of imaging includes illuminating a sample spaced apart from an image sensor at a multiple distances. Image frames of the sample obtained at each distance are registered to one another and lost phase information from the registered higher resolution image frames is iteratively recovered. Amplitude and/or phase images of the sample are reconstructed based at least in part on the recovered lost phase information.

摘要: The image observation apparatus introduces an object light, which is at least part of an object illumination light emitted from a light source and projected onto an object and which is reflected by the object, through a first optical waveguide to an image sensor, introduces a reference light, which is emitted from the light source and passes through an optical path different from that of the object light, to the image sensor, and records an interference fringe through the image sensor as a hologram. The apparatus forms the recorded hologram on a spatial light modulator and illuminate the modulator with a hologram illumination light corresponding to the reference light to generate a reconstruction light, and causes the reconstruction light entering a second optical waveguide optically equivalent to the first optical waveguide and exiting from the second optical waveguide to form an object reconstructed image.

摘要: A system for three dimensional imaging of motile objects includes an image sensor and a sample holder disposed adjacent to the image sensor. A first illumination source is provided and has a first wavelength and positioned relative to the sample holder at a first location to illuminate the sample. A second illumination source is also provided having a second wavelength, different from the first wavelength, and positioned relative to the sample holder at a second location, different from the first location, to illuminate the sample. The first and second illumination sources are configured to simultaneously, or alternatively, sequentially illuminate the sample contained within the sample holder. Three dimensional positions of the motile objects in each frame are obtained based on digitally reconstructed projection images of the mobile objects obtained from the first and second illumination sources. This positional data is connected for each frame to obtain 3D trajectories of motile objects.
