Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a system for treating a gland of a patient. The system includes a handheld device including a probe, a tip of the probe being formed with a suction opening and a delivery opening; a backend apparatus including a fluid reservoir configured to contain a fluid, an agent reservoir configured to contain agent particles, and a suction force generator; a delivery channel in fluid communication with the delivery opening and the fluid reservoir and the agent reservoir, the delivery channel allowing a mixture of the fluid and the agent particles to travel through the delivery channel and exit at the delivery opening; and a suction channel in fluid communication with the suction opening and the suction force generator, the suction channel allowing a suction force being generated at the suction opening by the suction force generator.
Abstract:
A skin cleanser includes a surface, such as a silicone surface, with at least one textured portion for transmitting vibrational tapping to the skin. The skin cleanser includes at least one oscillating motor for generating the tapping motion to the skin. The textured portion includes touch-points or a wave that transmit the tapping motion to skin in contact with the textured portions. The touch-points may include thicker and thinner formations of the touch-points to provide firmer or softer vibrations to the skin. The touch-points are within about 0.5 to 2.5 mm in diameter. One configuration includes multiple oscillating motors configured to provide different vibration frequencies at around 50-300 Hertz and operable simultaneously.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a system and method to non-invasively deliver a therapeutic amount of energy to a treatment site to fragment particulate material. More specifically, an external power source is provided for transmitting energy non-invasively through the skin and body of a patient to a medical implant. The medical implant, including an energy focusing device, is surgically positioned at the treatment site. The energy focusing device is configured to receive the transmitted energy and directing therapeutic energy to the treatment site to fragment particulate material.
Abstract:
A clamp and handle is designed exclusively for holding purchased containers of rub on and roll on pain killers, deodorants and any other substance that is in a container with a built in applicator. The handle is for applying these substances to hard or impossible places to reach due to anatomy or injury. The clamp, handle and knob are constructed from PVC that has a smooth glossy finish for the purpose of not causing any injury. The PVC can move smoothly over skin. The knob is flower shaped to make it easier to grip. The knob and clamp body prevent the stainless steel screw from scratching any skin. The screw will never rust.
Abstract:
The invention relates to methods of treating baldness, treating alopecia, promoting hair growth, and/or promoting hair follicle development and/or activation or stimulation on an area of the skin of a subject (for example, a human) by subjecting said area of the skin to integumental perturbation. Integumental perturbation can be used in combination with other treatments for promoting hair growth. The invention provides devices for integumental perturbation for promoting hair growth, and provides pharmaceutical compositions for use in combination with integumental perturbation for promoting hair growth.
Abstract:
A nasogastric tube (10) including a main lumen (12) having one or more proximal connectors (14) for connecting to a source of substances or pressure, and one or more vacuum lumens (16) peripherally surrounding the main lumen (12), each vacuum lumen (16) including a vacuum sealing portion (24), which includes one or more suction ports (26) for sealingly drawing an inner wall of an esophagus thereagainst.
Abstract:
The invention is to provide a pressurized gas mist bathing system, ensuring hygiene and reduction in costs, by making only one part of the system disposable. This system causes a mist to contact the skin or the mucous membrane of a living body in a high pressure not less than a predetermined value, the mist is prepared by pulverizing liquid and the mist of micron size dissolving oxygen and/or carbon dioxide gases and comprises a gas supply means 10; a gas mist generating means 30 having a fluid nozzle 32 of generating the gas mist and a liquid storage 34 of storing liquid; a pressure cover 50 for covering the skin and the mucous membrane of the living body and formed with a space for sealing inside the gas mist supplied from the gas mist generating means 30; and a humors circulating means 41 for circulating the liquid from the liquid storage 34 of the gas mist generating means 30 to the fluid nozzle 32 and wherein, in the gas mist generating means 30, at least the liquid storage 34 is displaceable and replaced by another liquid storage.
Abstract:
A multi-functional cosmetic device using ultrasonic wave to generate a fine mist of particles that may be ejected from an end of a passage of the nozzle. The cosmetic device is configured to permit ejecting of the fine mist particles even when the device is used upside down so that the user can use the cosmetic device freely at any pose.
Abstract:
A sperm collector is provided. The sperm collector includes an insert having a penis insertion passage. The sperm collector also includes a container having an outer shell forming an inside chamber. The outer shell has at least one opening. The inside chamber is configured to accommodate the insert. The sperm collector also includes a top end cover capable of being engaged with the container. The sperm collector further includes an elastic pressing unit disposed on the outer shell and coupled to the insert through the opening on the outer shell. The elastic pressing unit is configured to transmit pressure to the insert through the opening on the outer shell.
Abstract:
An apparatus allows a person with limited mobility to treat a top, bottom, or side surface of his foot with a lotion, abrade a callous, massage his foot, or clean his foot. A mounting head is fixed to a handle such that the mounting head and a tool for treating a foot of a person fixed to the mounting head can rotate to a wide range of orientations to facilitate access by the tool to top, bottom, side and heel surfaces of a person's foot. A variety of tools may be attached to the mounting head in a removable and replaceable manner.
