Abstract: A uniform luminance light-emitting diode (LED) circuit board includes a first primary trace and a second primary trace mounted on a substrate along a direction and are spaced apart, multiple LED strings mounted on the substrate along the direction and parallelly connected between the first primary trace and the second primary trace, a first power trace and a second power trace respectively connected to the first primary trace and the second primary trace, and a first auxiliary trace with two ends respectively connected to the second primary trace and the second power trace. By adjusting trace widths of the first primary trace and the second primary trace to limit current passing through each LED string and using the first auxiliary trace to provide an additional current path, identical current flowing through all the LED strings results in uniform luminance of the LED strings.

Abstract: A method of retrofitting a plurality of LED bulbs to a fluorescent tube fixture with a ballast, a fluorescent tube receptacle, a reflector housing and a lens comprises: removing the lens from the reflector housing; disconnecting the ballast from a mains power supply line and removing the ballast and the fluorescent tube receptacle from the housing. The mains mains power supply is wired to a plurality of Edison socket light-emitting diode (LED) bulb sockets extending from a body defining an electrical junction box and threading a plurality of LED bulbs into the bulb sockets. The electrical junction box is mounted to the reflector housing. The fixture lens is reinstalled to the housing such that the bulb adapter is received in an enclosure defined by the housing and the lens.

Abstract: A white-light LED module is disclosed. The white-light LED module includes a substrate, and a red-light LED chip string, a blue-light LED chip string, and a green-light LED chip string arranged on the substrate. The red-light LED chip string, the blue-light LED chip string, and the green-light LED chip string are connected in parallel. A number of blue LED chips within the blue-light LED chip string equals to the number of green LED chips within the green-light LED chip string. The number of red LED chips within the red-light LED chip string is as double as the number of blue LED chips and the green LED chips. In this way, the light mixture performance of the red, green and blue LED chips may be enhanced.

Abstract: An article and circuit that controllably dims a luminaire, for example without controlling a line power of the luminaire. The luminaire includes a traditional three-contact socket to receive a photocontroller, such as that used for street lights. The article uses a desired dimming control signal to provide an output control signal that controls whether the light source in the luminaire is turned ON or turned OFF to thereby effect the desired amount of dimming. The output control signal may be a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal with a duty cycle that is related to the desired level of illumination or dimming. The system may use a dimming signal from a five or seven contact dimming photocontroller to provide such an output control signal to control the light-level for the luminaire.

Abstract: An outdoor loudspeaker that is weather resistant and includes environmental lighting is described. The lamp is mounted to a cap at the top of the loudspeaker. An audio driver is mounted below the lamp. A system outdoor loudspeakers is also described. The lighting circuitry and the audio circuitry is separate, e.g., separate conduits and wiring in the loudspeaker. The cap can include a light guide, e.g., a lens centrally mounted in the cap or an opaque cover to direct the light downwardly and outwardly. At least part of the loudspeaker can be mounted underground and, in the case of a sub-woofer, the entire chamber can be mounted below ground.

Abstract: A luminaire includes: a light-emitting module; a base having a front surface on which the light-emitting module is disposed; a cover which is translucent and covers the light-emitting module: a controller which is disposed on a back surface of the base and controls the light-emitting module; a first antenna which transmits and receives a first polarized wave; and a control wire which connects the controller and the first antenna. The control wire includes an exposed portion which is a portion of the control wire in a longitudinal direction of the control wire and which is disposed between the base and the cover to transmit and receive a second polarized wave that differs from the first polarized wave in a polarization direction.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides apparatuses and methods for bulb detection for a lighting control system. The apparatus includes a lighting control module configured to cause a transmission of a quantity of electrical energy to a lighting circuit of a light fixture electrically connected to the lighting control module. The apparatus includes a detector circuit positioned in the lighting control module. The detector circuit is configured to measure a response of the lighting circuit to the transmission of the quantity of electrical energy. The apparatus also includes a controller in electrical communication with the detector circuit. The controller is specially programmed to correlate the quantity of electrical energy transmitted to the lighting circuit to the response of the lighting circuit. The controller is further programmed to determine the bulb type of a bulb electrically coupled to the lighting circuit of the light fixture.
