Abstract: A system and method for connecting a user to business services monitors all attempts by the user to place outgoing telephone calls. When a user is attempting to place a call to a business, the system checks to see if the business has created a voice application that could be performed for the user. If so, the business' voice application is performed for the user on the user's local device, instead of connecting the user to the business' customer service line. If no voice application is available for the user, then the system connects the user to the business' customer service line, either through a telephone network, or through a data network connection.

Abstract: Interactive services are enhanced by intercepting, in a telecommunications network, a session initiation protocol message used to initiate a communication. The session initiation protocol message is intercepted prior to terminating at a recipient computer configured to provide interactive services for the communication. Based on predetermined rules, supplemental information is determined to provide to the recipient computer of the communication. The supplemental information is inserted into the session initiation protocol message prior to the terminating at the recipient computer. The session initiation protocol message with the supplemental information is routed to the recipient computer that provides the interactive services for the communication. The interactive services are provided based at least in part on the supplemental information.

Abstract: A small wearable recall device is provided to capture images triggered by a combination of a detection of a capture condition (e.g., changes in motion, temperature or light level) followed by a relatively stable period, as detected by an accelerometer. By triggering on the combination of a detected capture condition followed by a detected stability condition, a clearer image of the environment of an interesting event is expected to be captured. The small size of the recall device makes it possible to integrate it into common portable consumer products, such as MP3 players, purses, clothing, hats, backpacks, necklaces, collars, and other human-wearable products.

Abstract: Anonymous voice communication between a first station and a second station is fascilitated by providing an interface that allows input of a transaction specification from at least one of the first and second stations. A reference code associated with the transaction is generated, there being a defined relationship between the reference code and the address of the second station for voice communication. The reference code is supplied to the first station, and a voice communication request and the reference code are recieved from the first station. The reference code is used to recover said address and a channel for voice communication is opened between said first and second stations. Voice communication can thereby be established between the first and second stations without providing the address of the second station to the first station. An Internet based service system may include one or more servers, software, or storage units for use in data mining user information. The disclosed service may facilitate users posting information, connecting to other users, and making transactions over the Internet. Data from each transaction submitted through the service are data mined. The collected data may include personal information, private data, interest, intellectual property, and the like. For increasing transactions, the service system may create a proposed transaction specification specifying a transaction between a first party and a second party based, at least in part, on data mining user information. Feed a reference code associated with a second party to a first party, and receive a communication request from the first party employing the reference code. The reference code may include tagged photo, advertisement etc. The service may also provide private user information to other parties.

Abstract: Techniques to support emergency voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls are described. The techniques may be used for various 3GPP and 3GPP2 networks, various location architectures, and various types of User Equipment (UE). A UE communicates with a visited network to send a request to establish an emergency VoIP call. The UE interacts with a location server instructed by the visited network to obtain a first position estimate for the UE. The UE performs call setup via the visited network to establish the emergency VoIP call with a PSAP, which may be selected based on the first position estimate. The UE may thereafter perform positioning with the location server to obtain an updated position estimate for the UE, e.g., if requested by the PSAP.
