Abstract: A method controls a power switch and senses a primary current through a transformer primary winding coupled to the power switch and deactivates the switch responsive to the sensed primary current reaching a current sensed reference. A demagnetization mode is initiated responsive to deactivating the power switch. During this mode a first capacitance is charged with a first charging current to generate the current sensed reference. The first charging current is based on a bias signal. A second capacitance is charged with a second charging current to generate the bias signal. The second charging current is based on a compensation signal. A third charging current generates a comparison signal, the third charging current based on the current sensed reference. The compensation signal is based on a difference between the comparison signal and an internal reference and the power switch activated based on a secondary current in a secondary transformer winding.

Abstract: A method of detecting objects includes transmitting toward an object a first acoustic signal including a first set of pulses including a first number of pulses, and checking if a first echo signal resulting from reflection of the first acoustic signal is received with an intensity reaching an echo detection threshold. If the intensity of the first echo signal reaches the echo detection threshold, the distance to the object is calculated as a function of the time delay of the first echo signal. If the intensity of the first echo signal fails to reach the echo detection threshold, one or more further acoustic signals are transmitted including a set of pulses wherein the number of pulses is increased with respect to the number of pulses in said first acoustic signal.

Abstract: A memory device includes a memory array with memory cells arranged in rows and columns and with word lines and bit lines. A dummy structure includes a dummy row of dummy cells and a dummy word line. A first pre-charging stage biases a word line of the memory array. An output stage includes a plurality of sense amplifiers. Each sense amplifier generates a corresponding output signal representing a datum stored in a corresponding memory cell pre-charged by the first pre-charging stage. A second pre-charging stage biases the dummy word line simultaneously with the word line biased by the first pre-charging stage. The output stage includes an enable stage, which detects a state of complete pre-charging of an intermediate dummy cell.

Abstract: A MEMS device includes a fixed supporting body forming a cavity, a mobile element suspended over the cavity, and an elastic element arranged between the fixed supporting body and the mobile element. Abstract: A switching converter includes a first electronic switch and a second electronic switch and respective drive circuits for switching on and switching off alternatively the first and second electronic switches. Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a high power factor quasi resonant converter. The converter converts an AC power line input to a DC output to power a load, generally a string of LEDs. The power input is fed into a transformer being controlled by a power switch. The power switch is driven by a controller having a shaping circuit. The shaping circuit uses a current generator, switched resistor and capacitor to produce a sinusoidal reference voltage signal. The controller drives the power switch based on the voltage reference signal, resulting in a sinusoidal input current in a primary winding of the transformer, resulting in high power factor and low total harmonic distortion for the converter.
