    摘要: An active matrix type liquid crystal display, in which the reliability is enhanced by preventing the short-circuit and insulation breakdown of a gate insulating portion and the delay time of a gate bus line is shortened by reducing the resistivity of an interconnect film. The liquid crystal display of this type is manufactured by the steps of forming an interconnect/electrode film on a substrate by physical deposition; patterning the interconnect/electrode film; and anodic-oxidizing part or all of the interconnect/electrode film. In this method, the interconnect/electrode film is formed of an Al alloy containing at least one kind selected from a group consisting Fe, Co and rare earth elements in an amount of 0.1 to 10 at %; and the thickness of the anodic oxidation film is specified to be in the range of 200 Å or more.

    摘要: Described is a process for hydroformylation of an olefinic compound, which comprises, carrying out the reaction in the presence of: a) a rhodium compound, b) a tertiary organic phosphorus compound represented by the following formula (1): P(X.sub.1)(X.sub.2)(X.sub.3 --SO.sub.3 M) (1) wherein X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 each independently represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1-15 carbon atoms and X.sub.3 represents a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1-15 carbon atoms and M represents an alkali metal, and c) a polar organic compound; separating the rhodium compound, the tertiary organic phosphorus compound represented by the formula (1) and the polar organic compound from the resulting reaction mixture by extraction with water; subjecting the extracted water layer to removal of water and addition of at least one acidic substance selected from sulfonic acids to prepare a concentrate containing the rhodium compound, the tertiary organic phosphorus compound represented by the formula (1) and the polar organic compound; and recycling the resulting concentrate to a reactor for reuse.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus having a refeeding unit for temporarily containing image-formed sheets as a horizontal pile and for refeeding the sheets for the second image forming operation. The refeeding unit can be pulled out from a body frame in the direction perpendicular to a sheet transporting direction. A setting position of the refeeding unit in the body frame can be adjusted to be parallel with the sheet transporting direction. The refeeding unit has an intermediate tray on which the sheets are piled, a refeeding roller which feeds the sheets piled on the intermediate tray from the most bottom sheet successively one by one, a sheet front end aligning member, a sheet rear end aligning member, a sheet side aligning member and a sheet pressing plate which, every time a sheet is transported to the intermediate tray and every time a sheet is refed from the intermediate tray, presses the sheet toward the refeeding roller.

    摘要: A copying machine has a simultaneous color mode for forming multi-color images in a single copy cycle and especially selects and releases the simultaneous color mode. An index, which is movable in the scanning direction of a document, is operated to automatically select the simultaneous color mode and set the switching position thereof. In addition, the index is moved out of a document area to automatically release the simultaneous color mode, which enables the simultaneous color mode to be easily selected and released. As a result, the miscopying of a document caused by a mistaken operation in selecting or releasing the simultaneous color mode can be prevented.

    摘要: In an accelerating tube which uses a conductive insulator, there is a possibility that the dopant concentration on a surface of the conductive insulator becomes non-uniform so that the surface resistance of the conductive insulator becomes non-uniform. Accordingly, a circumferential groove is formed on the inner surface of the conductive insulator accelerating tube in plural stages, and metal is metalized along inner portions of the grooves. When the resistance of a specific portion on the surface of the accelerating tube differs from the resistance of an area around the specific portion, the potential of the metalized region on the inner surface of the accelerating tube becomes a fixed value and hence, the potential distribution on the inner surface of the accelerating tube in the vertical direction can be maintained substantially equal without regard to the circumferential direction.
