Abstract: A rim for a tire for means of displacement preferably for heavy loads at low-speed. The rim may include a main tubular body having a cylindrical surface extending between two lateral edges, a bead-seat having a greater diameter than the cylindrical surface of the tubular body and overlapped to it and at least a side-ring being overlapped to one of the lateral edges for the lateral containment of the tire. The rim may include compensating means interposed between the cylindrical surface of the tubular body and the bead-seat and in contact with them to realise a compensation in thickness.

Abstract: Adapter for a rolling assembly intended to be fitted to a passenger vehicle, with improved mountability and a high capacity for absorbing large deformations in the event of pinch shocks. The adapter has reinforcing element (15) of the axially outer end (9) wholly situated axially on the outside of bearing face (21) and radially on the outside of adapter seat (18), and a main reinforcement (17) having a radial superposition of at least two layers of reinforcers, the reinforcers being mutually parallel within one and the same layer and crossed with one another from one layer to the next. Each of the layers of main reinforcement (17) comprises reinforcers which make, with a circumferential direction (XX′) of the tire, an angle at least equal to 30°, and coated with a polymer material having an elastic modulus at 10% elongation at most equal to 70 MPa.

Abstract: Adapter for rolling assembly comprising tire and rim to provide the connection therebetween. The adapter has axially inner end with inner reinforcing element, axially outer end with outer reinforcing element, and a body. The outer reinforcing element, axially outside of bearing face (21), is a bead wire made of three layers (23, 24, 25) of metal threads and concentric. First layer (23) includes metal thread of diameter D1, 0.8≤D1≤5 mm, second layer (24) has metal thread of diameter D2, D2≤1.4×D1, and wound in a helix at angle A2, 2°≤A2≤10°, and third layer (25) has metal thread of diameter D3 and wound in a helix around second layer (24) at angle A3, 2°≤A3≤10°, and of opposite sign to A2.

Abstract: A tire has a rim protector which is formed at a sidewall and which constitutes, an annular protrusion that extends in a tire circumferential direction. The rim protector has not less than two recesses that extend toward the tread region from a location toward the bead region in such fashion as to be directed toward a location in a second direction from a location in a first, direction in the tire circumferential direction, the not less than two recesses being arranged with spaces therebetween in the tire circumferential direction. A mutually adjacent pair of recesses among the not less than two recesses are in a positional relationship such that they partially overlap as seen when projected onto a virtual plane perpendicular to a tire radial direction.

Abstract: A rim seal and method of manufacturing are provided. A rim seal segment is provided having two free ends and being constructed of a sealing material having a contoured cross-sectional profile. The rim seal segment has a length shorter than a circumference of the rim seal. The two free ends are inserted into a mold in spaced relationship with each other, and a connector is molded between the two free ends to connect the free ends and transform the rim seal segment into a continuous circumferential rim seal. A valve stem may be molded into the connector. A tire-facing surface defined by the combination of the rim portion and an outer surface of the rim seal has a profile conforming to an industry standard.

Abstract: A method for locking a tyre to a wheel rim, includes the steps of mounting a tubular tyre locking element on the wheel rim, which tubular locking member is arranged with a valve, which valve is pushed through a hole in the rim; mounting a tyre on the rim such that the tyre encloses the tubular tyre locking element and a pressure chamber is obtained between the tyre locking element and the tyre; pressurizing the tubular tyre locking element via the valve such that it expands, whereby the beads of the tyre are pressed against the flanges of the wheel rim; inserting a hollow needle through the tyre and into the pressure chamber, which hollow needle is connected to a pressurized air source; pressurising the pressure chamber to desired pressure, removing the hollow needle; and sealing the hole caused by the needle with sealing fluid or plug.
