摘要: A producing method of a porous Si3N4 having high porosity and formed of Si3N4 particles having a high aspect ratio includes the following steps. A compound of a rare earth element as a first sintering agent is mixed in an amount of 7.5-45 parts by mass, in terms of an oxide of the element, with respect to 100 parts by mass of Si powder to obtain mixed powder. A binder is added to the mixed powder, which is then molded into a molded body. The molded body is heated in a nitrogen atmosphere to 300-500null C. to remove the binder. The binder-removed body is heated in a nitrogen atmosphere to 1350-1500null C. for nitriding. The nitrided body is then sintered at 1750-1900null C. at a nitrogen pressure of 0.1-1 atmosphere.

The Ca—SiAlON ceramic comprises not more than 42 wt % silicon, relative to the total weight of the Ca—SiAlON ceramic. The method employs submicron particles and also allows for substituting a portion of aluminum nitride with aluminum to form the Ca—SiAlON ceramic with enhanced mechanical properties.

摘要: A SiAlON composite includes a SiAlON phase including α-SiAlON phase, β-SiAlON phase and grain boundary phase. The SiAlON composite is prepared from a starting powder mixture including a silicon nitride powder and at least one powder providing aluminum, oxygen, nitrogen, yttrium (Y) and erbium (Er) to the SiAlON composite. The SiAlON composite contains the SiAlON phase of at least 90 vol %, z-value of the β-SiAlON phase ranges between 0.27 and 0.36 and thermal diffusivity of the SiAlON composite is equal to or greater than 2.4 (mm2/sec) and equal to or less than 5.2 (mm2/sec).
