摘要: The present disclosure provides a method of diagnosing a failure of a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, the method including: injecting urea into the interior of an exhaust pipe using an injector; after the injection step, detecting an amount of NOx and an amount of ammonia through an NOx sensor provided at a rear end of the exhaust pipe; and diagnosing a failure of the injector based on at least one of the amount of NOx and the amount of ammonia.

摘要: An exhaust emission control system of an engine, including an NOx catalyst disposed in an exhaust passage for storing NOx within exhaust gas when an air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas is lean, and reducing the stored NOx when the air-fuel ratio is approximately stoichiometric or rich, is provided. The system includes an SCR catalyst disposed in the exhaust passage downstream of the NOx catalyst and for purifying NOx within exhaust gas by causing a reaction with ammonia, a controller executing a NOx reduction controlling module for executing a control in which the air-fuel ratio is controlled to a target air-fuel ratio so that the stored NOx is reduced, and an ammonia adsorption amount acquiring module for acquiring an ammonia adsorption amount of the SCR catalyst by detection or estimation. The NOx reduction controlling module controls the target air-fuel ratio to be leaner as the ammonia adsorption amount increases.

The engine module is structured to interpret engine in-cylinder data regarding an operating condition within a cylinder of an engine, wherein the engine in-cylinder data includes an engine torque, an engine speed, a rail pressure, and a start-of-injection. The in-cylinder content module is structured to interpret at least one additional in-cylinder data point regarding the operating condition within the cylinder of the engine. The engine out NOx module is structured to determine an engine out NOx amount responsive to the engine in-cylinder data and the at least one additional in-cylinder data point.

摘要: In a failure diagnosis device of an emission control system that utilizes an electrode-based PM sensor to diagnose a failure of a particulate filter, some embodiments may be to suppress reduction of accuracy of diagnosis of a failure due to in-cylinder rich control. The failure diagnosis device of the emission control system performs a measurement process. The measurement process includes a sensor recovery process of removing PM depositing between the electrodes of the electrode-based PM sensor, a process of starting application of the predetermined voltage to the electrodes of the PM sensor after completion of the sensor recovery process, and a process of obtaining an output value of the PM sensor after elapse of a predetermined time period since the start of application of the predetermined voltage to the electrodes of the PM sensor.

A processor executes a NOx reduction controlling module for performing, when the NOx stored amount exceeds a given amount, a NOx reduction control in which a fuel injector performs a post injection of fuel to continuously control the air-fuel ratio to a target ratio so that the stored NOx is reduced to be below a given amount, the target air-fuel ratio being a ratio at which the stored NOx is reducible, the post injection causing the injected fuel to combust inside a cylinder, the execution of the control permitted when an engine load is within a medium load range.

摘要: A regeneration method of an apparatus of purifying an exhaust gas including a catalytic converter which is disposed on an exhaust pipe and includes a lean NOx trap (LNT) device in which a first LNT catalyst is coated and a catalyzed particulate filter (CPF) in which a second LNT catalyst is coated may include determining whether a nitrogen oxide (NOx) amount absorbed in the LNT device is greater than a threshold NOx amount, determining whether a temperature of the LNT device is higher than a first predetermined temperature when the NOx amount absorbed in the LNT device is greater than the threshold NOx amount, and regenerating, both of the LNT device and the CPF or only the LNT device according to a temperature of the CPF when the temperature of the LNT device is higher than the first predetermined temperature.
