    摘要: A method is disclosed for generating a sub-nanosecond pulse laser, using a voltage-increased type electro-optical Q-switched laser. The method includes: applying a square wave driving signal on a Pockels cell in an electro-optical Q-switched laser by using a Q-switch driver module, where the peak voltage of the square wave driving signal is higher than the quarter-wave voltage of the Pockels cell; and performing, by controlling the loss related to the electro-optical Q switch with a voltage of the driving signal increasing from 0 to the peak voltage, a change of the working state of the electro-optical Q switch from a switched-off state to a switched-on state, and then to a partially-switched-on state. The intracavity laser is exhausted within a quite short time, so that the pulse width of the laser is shortened, to implement sub-nanosecond operation of a pulse laser.

    摘要: Method for generating a series of laser pulses with a laser assembly, the laser assembly at least having two reflecting members, a laser medium and an electro-optical modulator are disclosed. The laser assembly operates in a light amplifying mode and runs a pulse extraction sequence. The pulse extraction sequence is run by applying a defined voltage change with reference to the amplification voltage, wherein changing of the voltage is adjusted such that at least one intermediate switching state is generated on side of the electro-optical modulator, the intermediate switching state providing a particular change of polarization of the amplified laser radiation by the electro-optical modulator, such that a final switching state is generated on side of the electro-optical modulator by applying a final extraction voltage at the end of the time period.

    摘要: In a method for operating a laser system in a Q-switched mode, the laser system provided with a laser resonator with a laser medium and an electro-optical modulator, wherein the electro-optical modulator has an EOM crystal, wherein the EOM crystal has a characteristic ringing time (t0) when subjected to acoustic ringing, the EOM crystal is driven by modulator voltage pulses (pm) having a modulator voltage pulse duration (tml). A train of at least two subsequent laser pulses (pl) is generated. The modulator voltage pulse duration (tml) is selected to be at least approximately equal to the characteristic ringing time (t0) of the EOM crystal multiplied by an integer factor.

    摘要: The invention relates to a device for a laser blocked-mode, especially for a pulsed laser, comprising a cavity resonator (20) which is defined by a first mirror (1) and a second mirror (8), and fitted with an amplifying active laser medium (5) for the amplification of a beam of laser radiation of a fundamental frequency (ω1) and a solid, non-linear optic means (10) comprising at least said second mirror (8) for reversible conversion of the radiation of the fundamental frequency (ω1) into radiation of a harmonic frequency (ω2) whereby said non-linear optic means (10) has a reflection factor which increases with the intensity of the radiation of a fundamental frequency. The invention is characterized in that said device also comprises a solid intensity limiter (4) in the cavity resonator (20), whereby the transmission factor of the laser radiation decreases with the intensity of said radiation. The invention also relates to a method for a laser blocked-mode, especially for a pulsed laser, using said device.
