Abstract: Methods and devices for creating and operating a combined network and computational slice instance (NCSI) in a Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) scenario. Communication and computational resources may be reserved by a NCSI controller for the NCSI. The communication resources may include network slices and the computational resources may include MEC computational resources of one or more MEC servers. The reserved resources may be selected based on quality of service (QoS) requirements of UEs that will utilize the NCSI. During operation, reserved resources for the NCSI may be dynamically renegotiated based on an aggregate load of the NCSI, the QoS of data traffic, and/or updated QoS requirements of the UEs.

Abstract: Technologies for providing shared memory for accelerator sleds includes an accelerator sled to receive, with a memory controller, a memory access request from an accelerator device to access a region of memory. The request is to identify the region of memory with a logical address. Additionally, the accelerator sled is to determine from a map of logical addresses and associated physical address, the physical address associated with the region of memory. In addition, the accelerator sled is to route the memory access request to a memory device associated with the determined physical address.

Abstract: A method for managing data processes in a network of computing resources includes: receiving at least one child request being routed from an intermediary device to at least one corresponding destination device, the at least one child request requesting execution of at least one corresponding child data process, each of the at least one child data process for executing at least a portion of the at least one parent data process from an instructor device, and each of the at least one child request including a destination key derived at least in part from the at least one instructor key; storing the at least one child request in at least one storage device; modifying the at least one child request upon receiving a child request modification signal; and generating signals for communicating the child requests to one or more requesting devices.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes transaction-enabling systems and methods. A system can include a facility including a core task including a customer relevant output and a controller. The controller may include a facility description circuit to interpret a plurality of historical facility parameter values and corresponding facility outcome values and a facility prediction circuit to operate an adaptive learning system, wherein the adaptive learning system is configured to train a facility production predictor in response to the historical facility parameter values and the corresponding outcome values. The facility description circuit also interprets a plurality of present state facility parameter values, wherein the trained facility production predictor determines a customer contact indicator in response to the plurality of present state facility parameter values and a customer notification circuit provides a notification to a customer in response.

Abstract: In one aspect, a computerized method includes the step of providing process monitor in a Gateway. The method includes the step of, with the process monitor, launching a Gateway Daemon (GWD). The GWD runs a GWD process that implements a Network Address Translation (NAT) process. The NAT process includes receiving a set of data packets from one or more Edge devices and forwarding the set of data packets to a public Internet. The method includes the step of receiving another set of data packets from the public Internet and forwarding the other set of data packets to the one or more Edge devices. The method includes the step of launching a Network Address Translation daemon (NATD). The method includes the step of detecting that the GWD process is interrupted; moving the NAT process to the NATD.
