Abstract: A method of making a homogeneous mixture of polyolefin solids and carbon solids without melting the polyolefin solids during the making. The method comprises applying acoustic energy at a frequency of from 20 to 100 hertz to a heterogeneous mixture comprising the polyolefin solids and the carbon solids for a period of time sufficient to substantially intermix the polyolefin solids and the carbon solids together while maintaining temperature of the heterogeneous mixture below the melting temperature of the polyolefin solids, thereby making the homogeneous mixture without melting the polyolefin solids.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a composition. In an embodiment, the composition includes a pest repellent, a barrier polymer, and an ethylene-based polymer. The barrier polymer has a melt temperature, Tm, from 175° C. to less than 270° C. The barrier polymer is selected from the group consisting of one or more polyamides, one or more polyesters, and combinations thereof. Also disclosed is an irrigation tube having an annular wall. The annular wall is composed of the present composition.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a crosslinked polymeric composition. The crosslinked polymeric composition contains (A) a silane functionalized ethylene-based polymer and (B) inorganic hollow microspheres having (i) a D90 particle size from 10 μm to 100 μm, (ii) a crush strength from 17 MPa to 140 MPa, and (iii) a density from 0.10 g/cc to 0.40 g/cc. The crosslinked polymeric composition has a tensile strength from 11 MPa to 40 MPa and a tensile elongation from 12% to 100%.

The first and second axes are apart from, and parallel to, one another. The die assembly (5) includes (iv) an extrudate passage (42) fluidly connecting the inlet (30) and the discharge port (45). A third axis of symmetry (C) extends through the extrudate passage (42). The die assembly (5) includes (v) a nozzle (100) mounted in the die plate (10), the nozzle (100) having an injection tip (110) in the extrudate passage (42) at the discharge port (45); and (vi) the third axis of symmetry (C) intersects the first axis of symmetry (A) to form an acute angle.

The polymer composite comprises a thermoplastic polymer and a filler, where the thermoplastic polymer is non-foamed. The polymer composite has a thermal conductivity of at least 0.5 watt per meter Kelvin (“W/m?K”) measured at 25 C. Such wireless-communications-tower components include radio frequency (“RF”) cavity filters, heat sinks, enclosures, and combinations thereof.

Abstract: A process for making a foam composition, the process comprising the steps of: (A) Forming a mixture comprising high density polyethylene (HDPE), low density polyethylene (LDPE) and a peroxide; and (B) Contacting the mixture of (A) with carbon dioxide (CO2) at a pressure greater than or equal to 15 megaPascals (MPa). In one embodiment the peroxide is DTAP. In one embodiment the mixture of (A) further comprises a CO2-philic compound such as PDMS.
