摘要: A vent assembly is disposed within an interior space of a vehicle for opening and closing fluid communication between the interior space and an exterior of the vehicle. The vent assembly includes a housing defining a plurality of openings and a plurality of vanes disposed in the openings. An actuator mechanism moves the vanes between an open position and a closed position, and includes a shaped memory alloy (SMA) member for actuating the vanes between the open and closed positions. The SMA member is activated when a hatch of the vehicle is opened to move the vanes into the open position and thereby open fluid communication between the interior space and the exterior to alleviate excessive air pressure buildup during closure of the hatch.

摘要: A method of making an electric conductor having a conductive skin layer. The method comprises providing a conductive member having a first width and a conductive layer disposed thereon for conductivity. The conductive layer has a second width to define a width ratio of the first width to the second width of 4:1 to 200:1. The conductive layer has greater conductivity than the conductive member. The method comprises disposing the conductive layer about the conductive member to define a conductive layered member and pressing the conductive layered member for mechanical contact to define a pressed layered member. The method comprises thermally treating the pressed layered member for diffusion between the conductive layer and the conductive member defining a diffused layered member. The method further comprises cooling the diffused layered member for diffusion bonding free of an intermetallic phase between the conductive layer and the conductive member.

摘要: A system in a vehicle includes a first set of one or more windings and a second set of one or more windings electrically isolated from the first set of one or more windings. The system also includes a first inverter coupled to a battery of the vehicle and the first set of one or more windings and a second inverter electrically separated from the first inverter and coupled to the second set of one or more windings. A universal charger includes an alternative current (AC) charging port and a direct current (DC) charging port. A switch is controlled to close to connect the second inverter to the battery.

摘要: A power control system comprises a battery system including N battery packs. A plurality of contactors selectively connects N battery packs of a battery system in a first configuration supplying a first voltage level, a second configuration supplying a second voltage level, and a disconnected configuration. M power inverters connect the battery system to M electric machines, respectively. A controller is configured to determine when to transition between the first configuration and the second configuration. The controller is configured to transition between the first configuration and the second configuration by causing one of a positive torque transient and a negative torque transient to be generated by at least one of the M electric machines, transitioning the battery system from one of the first configuration and the second configuration to the disconnected configuration, and transitioning from the disconnected configuration to the other one of the first configuration and the second configuration.

摘要: A motor drive system of a vehicle includes: an inverter that receives power from a power source via a bus, where the inverter is connected to a motor of the vehicle; a driver that drives the inverter; a filter that filters a current signal received from the bus to generate a filtered signal; and a control module that operates in an impedance determination mode. The impedance determination mode includes: based on the filtered signal, controlling the driver and the inverter to generate a pulsed signal applied to the power source; determining a current level and a voltage of the power source due to generation of the pulsed signal, and determining impedance based on the current level and the voltage. The control modules are configured to: determine a characterization parameter of the power source based on the impedance; and perform a control operation or a countermeasure based on the characterization parameter.

摘要: A system for bypassing a torque converter in a powertrain is provided. The system includes a torque generating device including an output shaft and a transmission assembly. The transmission assembly includes a transmission output shaft and a torque converter, a torque converter bypass shaft. The transmission assembly further includes a disconnect clutch selectively coupling the torque converter with the torque generating device and a torque converter clutch selectively coupling the torque converter bypass shaft with the torque generating device. Engaging the disconnect clutch and disengaging the torque converter clutch enables the torque generating device to transmit torque to the transmission output shaft through the torque converter. Engaging the torque converter clutch and disengaging the disconnect clutch enables the torque generating device to transmit torque to the transmission output shaft through the torque converter bypass shaft.

Each of the management modules includes a communication interface configured to transmit data to the master management module and receive data from the master management module and a diagnostic module configured to monitor operating parameters of a respective one of the plurality of battery modules, detect a fault associated with the respective one of the plurality of battery modules based on the operating parameters, and selectively output a signal indicative of the detected fault.
