The present invention provides an instrument and a method for handling a minor amount of a biological material. The instrument of the present invention for handling a minor amount of a biological material comprises a construct and a base, wherein: the base holds the construct in a releasable manner; the construct is held on a surface of the base in such a manner that a part of the construct is exposed externally on the outer face of the instrument; and at least a part of a surface of the constructs is exposed externally on the outer face of the instrument being fabricated so as to allow the adhesion of the minor amount of the biological material thereto.
