摘要: A honeycomb structure (10) having a large number of through-holes (11) formed in the axial direction and defined by partition walls, wherein slits (12) are formed so as to be exposed to at least part of the outer surface (13) of the honeycomb structure along the axial direction. In this honeycomb structure, each portion can deform freely without being restricted by other portion even when an uneven temperature distribution appears therein; as a result, reduction in thermal stress is possible and generation of cracks can be prevented.

摘要: This is directed to a honeycomb structure (10) including two or more honeycomb segments (11) having numerous through channels having been partitioned by walls and penetrating in axial direction thereof, the walls for through channels having a filtering function, and one end being clogged at predetermined through channels, and the other end at the remaining ones, and joint layers (12) for joining two or more honeycomb segments (11) each other. It may satisfy at least either that the Young's modulus of material of the joint layer (12) is 20% or less of that of the honeycomb segment (11), or that the material strength of joint layer (12) is lower than that of the honeycomb segment (11). This honeycomb structure shows a less thermal stress during use, has such a durability that no crack is formed, hardly shows a difference in temperature between the central portion and outer peripheral portion, and shows a lower pressure loss of fluid.

The multilayer substrate includes a plurality of conductor layers and a dielectric configured to isolate said plurality of conductor layers from each other. The hybrid resonator is disposed in the multilayer substrate and comprises a first and a second resonant elements and a coupling strip connecting the first and said second resonant elements. Each resonant element comprises a signal via, a group of ground vias and an artificial dielectric. Each signal via is disposed through the multilayer substrate. Each group of ground vias is disposed through the multilayer substrate and configured to surround the signal via. Each artificial dielectric is disposed in the multilayer substrate and between the signal via and the group of ground vias. The artificial dielectric comprises a conductive plate connected to the first signal via and an isolating slit isolating the first conductive plate from the group of ground vias.

摘要: A motor driving apparatus capable of detecting during operation a ground fault and a phase-to-phase short circuit by distinguishing one from the other is provided while minimizing an increase in cost. The sum of three-phase AC currents supplied from a three-phase AC power supply to an AC/DC converter is detected by a current sensor. When overcurrent is detected by an overcurrent detector, if the sum of the currents detected by the current sensor is zero, it is determined that the fault is a phase-to-phase short circuit, but if the sum is not zero, it is determined that the fault is a ground fault.

摘要: A mobile terminal comprises at last a first casing (7) and a second casing (8). First casing (7) and second casing (8) are coupled together in a manner such that the combined configuration of the first and second casings can be varied. First casing (7) has at least a radio circuit (5) and a first antenna (1) connected to the radio circuit, and second casing (8) has at least a second antenna (3). First casing (7) has a feed element (2) connected to the radio circuit. When the combined configuration of the first and second casings is a predetermined configuration, feed element (2) of the first casing and the second antenna of second casing (8) are close to each other to be capacitively coupled together, so that second antenna is connected with radio circuit through feed element via high-frequency waves.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a cylindrical structure having an axial direction includes: winding a first layer around a mandrel; winding a second layer around the mandrel; winding a third layer around the mandrel; and joining the layers together by using a resin. Each layer includes a plurality of fabrics each made of fibers. The fabrics of each layer form a join line extending in a circumferential direction with edges of the fabrics in contact with each other. The join lines of the first, second and third layers are displaced in the axial direction from one another.
