摘要: A light guide plate mold (100) includes a surface (103) and a plurality of micro structures formed at the surface according to a predetermined pattern. Some micro structures have angular cross-sections and other micro structures have arcuate cross-sections. The light guide plate mold can manufacture light guide plates with simple structures, and the light guide plates can obtain emission light beams with good uniformity and brightness. Therefore, the manufactured light guide plates can be advantageously applied in back light systems of liquid crystal display devices. Furthermore, a method for manufacturing the light guide plate mold is also provided, the method has a relatively low cost, and can be executed with high speed and precision.

摘要: A photo-reactive grinding wheel 1 is irradiated with light by a light irradiation device 2 which is provided opposite to the grinding wheel, to bring about a chemical reaction and change in property, and dissolved/removed by a solution 4. Simultaneously, a workpiece 5 is processed by the photo-reactive grinding wheel 1. Thus, processing can be performed without causing clogging in the grinding wheel of a resin bond containing fine abrasive grains, high-grade surface roughness can be realized, and processing efficiency is relatively high. The controllability of the dressing is excellent, automation of dressing and in-process dressing can also be realized, a system which contains no metal ion in the whole processing can be designed, an expensive device is not required, and handling is easy.

摘要: Short metal fibers are directly produced from a work metal block. The product fibers are very thin and short, e.g., 200 .mu.m in diameter and 20 mm in length to the maximum. A bar like or pillar like metal bar is rotated, to which an elastic cutting tool is contacted. The entering width of cutting edge corresponds to length of fiber to be obtained. The tool is effected with fine feed and at the same time positively generated with self excited vibrations. The self excited vibration forcibly separates and divides a thin layer fiber accumulating at the cutting edge of the tool one by one without having connections in length of the fibers to each other. The process produces needle like fibers of microscopic cross sectional area. The thin and short metal fibers are produced in the same number as number of the self excited vibrations, and the fiber is right angled in axis with the cutting direction.

摘要: An apparatus and a method for mirror surface grinding which enables high quality, stable ELID grinding; and a grinding wheel for electrolytic dressing. The apparatus comprises a grinding wheel 3 having a contact surface 2 for contacting a workpiece 1, an electrode 4 facing the surface 2, nozzles 5 for supplying conductive fluid between the grinding wheel 3 and the electrode 4, and a power source 6 and feeder 7 for applying a voltage between the grinding wheel and the electrode 4. The bond material, which is selected from among iron, ferrous metal, cobalt, nickel and combinations of two or more thereof, along with grains and sintering aid are molded together and sintered to obtain the conductive grinding wheel. Next, a conductive water-soluble grinding fluid containing an alkanolamine and anions is supplied between the grinding wheel and the electrode, and a pulse wave voltage is applied between the grinding wheel and the electrode to dress the grinding wheel electrolytically during grinding.

摘要: A process for production of superconductor wire having multiple rings, comprising the steps of: preparing a silver mixture comprising a silver or silver-gold alloy mixed with a bonding agent, and a superconductor mixture comprising a superconductor powder with bonding agent; arranging both the silver mixture and the superconductor mixture in a extrusion die; extruding a wire having at least one ring of the superconductor mixture and one ring of the silver mixture in the radial direction; and heating the wire at the sinter temperature of the oxide superconductor so that the bonding agent is removed and the oxide superconductor powder and the silver powder are sintered. A superconductor wire comprising an inner core and an outer ring covering the core, wherein one of the ring on the core comprises a sintered silver powder and the other of the ring on the core comprises a sintered oxide superconductor powder.
