A process for producing a substrate material for printed circuit, which comprises stretching, in a mold, conductive metal wires at given pitches, then pouring, into the mold, a composite material composed of a plastic and a ceramic, curing the composite material, thereafter slicing the resulting material in a direction approximately perpendicular to the direction of the metal wires. Good electrical connection can be secured, and it is possible to prevent, during use, peeling between substrate material and conductive layers and between insulating material and metal wires. A printed circuit board of high density and excellent dimensional accuracy can be obtained.

The present invention relates to a nozzle suitable for jetting high pressure and high temperature steam, and a method and an apparatus for producing an entangled nonwoven fabric using the nozzle. According to the apparatus, a steam inlet side main conduit (c1) and a steam outlet side conduit (c3) are connected with both end parts of a tubular nozzle holder (11) in a longitudinal direction provided integrally with nozzle members (15, 16, 23) having a plurality of nozzle holes (16a, 26). A steam outlet side conduit (c2) is provided with an opening/closing valve (55) and a trap conduit (57) is branched from a conduit at an upstream side from the opening/closing valve (55). By opening the opening/closing valve (55), a rapid temperature rise of the nozzle holder (11) can be enabled at a time of starting a production of a nonwoven fabric. Furthermore, even in the opening/closing valve (55) is closed in a regular operation, drainage generated inside the nozzle holder (11) can always be discharged to outside so that steam can be jetted stably and continuously, and thus a high quality entangled fiber nonwoven fabric can be produced continuously from the fiber web by the steam.

A process for producing a crystallized glass substrate for magnetic disks, including the steps of: (a) holding an amorphous glass plate having a uniform thickness and two principal flat surfaces thereof between a pair of pressing setters in a sandwiched fashion, which pressing setters are non-reactive with the amorphous glass and undeformable during heating for crystallization of the amorphous glass; (b) softening the amorphous glass plate in a sandwiched stack form by heating at a temperature above an annealing point of the amorphous glass, whereby the principal surfaces are fitted onto the flat surfaces of the pressing setters to rectify warping to flatten the amorphous glass plate; and (c) then, increasing the temperature to a crystal growth temperature to grow crystals within the amorphous glass, whereby the amorphous glass plate is crystallized as maintaining its warp-free state, followed by solidifying.

The flow of waste gas is directed downwardly by means of a refractory guide chute so as to follow the down flow of molten slag at the downstream end of a slag outlet. Thus the sensible heat of the high-temperature waste gas forcedly heats the molten slag and the downstream end portion of the slag outlet. Consequently, it becomes less possible for the slag outlet to be choked up. When there are signs that the slag outlet is being choked up, the plasma torch is slightly tilted to the upstream end of the slag outlet so as to stabilize the discharge of the molten slag. A housing or jacket is disposed circumferentially around an incineration residue feed pipe, inserted through the incineration residue inlet, and adapted to allow an annular gas curtain to issue therefrom. Fuel injection against the waste gas in the furnace body is particularly suitable for decreasing the amount of NOx. Valuable matter is efficiently recovered from the waste gas without causing a waste gas channel in a waste gas purifying plant to be choked up with the particles of valuable matter. A device for detecting the leakage of cooling water caused by the deterioration of the plasma torch is also provided.

Described herein is a process for melting iron material in the production of molten iron, in which cold iron material such as scraps, cold pig iron or reduced iron is charged into a melting furnace, the process comprising: feeding a carbon-containing solid material into a precombustion vessel for primary combustion therein with supply of an oxygen-containing gas with an oxygen content corresponding to 0.4 to 0.9 of theoretical air ratio; separating combustion residues of the carbon-containing solid material from the resulting hot reducing gas; and introducing the reducing gas into the melting furnace for secondary combustion therein with supply of an oxygen-containing gas holding an oxygen concentration corresponding to 0.7 to 1.3 of theoretical air ratio in total with the oxygen-containing gas supplied to the precombustion furnace.
