摘要: A composition and method for producing the same are provided. The composition includes transition metal oxides adhered to a surface of a cerium oxide support, and can additionally include alkali metal or alkaline earth metal promotors. The method includes incipient wetness impregnation of the support with metal salt in solution, and can include impregnation with a metal chelator salt. The composition can be useful as a catalyst for the reduction of noxious gases in combustion exhaust streams. The composition can be of particular use as a component of an automobile catalytic converter, for the specific catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides to nitrogen gas.

摘要: Embodiments described herein disclose a vapor chamber including a thermally-conductive evaporator wall, a thermally-conductive condenser wall and a volume therebetween defining a vapor core for transporting a vapor of a working fluid from the evaporator wall to the condenser wall. The outer surfaces of the evaporator wall and the condenser wall are configured to be in thermal contact with a plurality of heat sources and a heat sink respectively. The vapor chamber further includes a porous wick structure for holding and pumping the working fluid towards the plurality of heat sources. The wick structure comprises an evaporator-feeding wick having an inner surface in thermal contact with an inner surface of the evaporator wall. The evaporator-feeding wick comprises a first region having a higher permeability than at least a second region to form a permeability gradient, such that the working fluid has a uniform flow to the plurality of heat sources.

摘要: A three-way catalytic material that reduces NOx in an oxidizing atmosphere and a process for reducing NOx in an oxidizing atmosphere. The material is a mixed metal oxide catalyst and can be made from a doped barium cerate matrix with a chemical formula of BaAyDzCe(1-y-z)O3-δ, where A is a precious metal or a combination of two or more precious metals and D is at least one transition metal. The coefficient y has a value between 0.0 and 0.20, inclusive, and the coefficient z has a value between 0.0 and 0.20, inclusive, and δ has a value between 0.00 and 0.20, inclusive.

摘要: A catalytic material including particles formed of a catalytic core material having a thermally resistant porous shell coated over the catalytic core material. An oxygen storage material is dispersed within the thermally resistant porous shell. In an example, the oxygen storage material is ceria. The catalytic material can further include a catalytic support, wherein the particles are deposited on the catalytic support. The catalytic support can be a powdered oxide including a material selected from the group consisting of alumina, silica, zirconia, niobia, ceria, titania, and combinations thereof. The catalytic core can include an element selected from the group consisting of Pt, Pd, Rh, Co, Ni, Mn, Cu, Fe, Au, Ag, and combinations thereof. The porous shell can be selected from materials consisting of alumina, baria, ceria, magnesia, niobia, silica, titania, yttria, and combinations thereof.
