A lubricating oil for compression-type refrigerator includes, as a main component, a polyoxyalkyleneglycol derivative represented by the general formula: R1(OR2)m-OR3]n wherein R1 is a methyl group, R2 is a propylene group, R3 is a methyl group, n is an integer of 1 and m is an integer of 12 to 80, and 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane. The derivative has a kinematic viscosity of 5 to 50 cSt at 100° C.
Abstract:
A heat resistant lubricating oil composition which exhibits high heat resistance and oxidation resistance under high temperature conditions, and can withstand severe working conditions, as in jet engine turbines. The lubricating oil composition comprises a polyphenylthioether of formula I in a lubricating base oil, comprising any one of a polyol ester, a polyphenyl ether, an organopolysiloxane and mixtures thereof.

In a first embodiment, this invention relates to a continuously operating press, preferably for the manufacture and/or printing, lamination or the like of a one or multiple layer board web of pre-manufactured material and/or raw material, wherein the lubricant used in the press is at least one phenyl-endblocked polydiorganosiloxane-polyphenylorganosiloxane random copolymer fluid. In a second embodiment, this invention relates to a continuously operating press, preferably for the manufacture and/or printing, lamination or the like of a one or multiple layer board web of pre-manufactured material and/or raw material, wherein the lubricant used in the press is a composition comprising (i) at least one phenyl-endblocked polydiorganosiloxane-polyphenylorganosiloxane random copolymer fluid and (ii) at least one stabilizing agent.

An aerosol composition includes an admixture of: (a) at least one silicone-based fluid and (b) at least one fluorine-containing propellant that is soluble in the silicone-based fluid. In a preferred embodiment, the propellant includes a hydrofluorocarbon, in particular 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane. An aerosol spray system includes: (a) a container; (b) the aerosol composition described above disposed within the container; (c) a metering device; and (d) a spray head. An aerosol lubricating composition includes the composition described above, wherein the silicone-based fluid is a lubricant. A method of lubricating, includes: (a) directing a container containing the lubricating composition described above at an article in need of lubrication; and (b) spraying the lubricating composition at the article. A flammable aerosol composition includes an aerosol composition which includes an admixture of: (a) at least one silicone-based fluid; and (b) at least one fluorine-containing propellant that is soluble in the silicone-based fluid, wherein the silicone-based fluid is a low viscosity silicone-based fluid. A spray system has improved spray characteristics for the aerosol composition by reducing the flow rate of the composition as it is being dispensed.

A high performance lubricant that includes a silicone wax that has been dissolved in solvent, emulsified or suspended in an inert carrier is described. In addition, a method is discussed of lubricating the solid surfaces of moving parts with a relatively water resistant, dry lubricant. The lubricant repels water and sheds dirt. Thus, this lubricant is particularly useful for lubricating high performance products that are used in a dirty environment.

The invention is a lubricant intended primarily to facilitate removal of arrows from targets after shooting. The lubricant consists of approximately 70% silicone lubricant and 30% hexane. The lubricant is preferably applied using an applicator, which could be an elongated housing with a threaded hole in each end, having a threaded plug for each hole, the applicator having absorbent material holding the lubricant. Immediately before shooting, the archer removes one or both plugs, and thrusts the arrow into the absorbent material to the desired depth, so that the point and shaft of the arrow receive the lubricant. The arrow can then be easily removed from its target after shooting. A container with a dauber for dispensing lubricant can be provided, alternatively.

A mold releasing agent comprising a silicon-containing compound represented by the formula:R.sup.1.sub.n SiR.sup.2.sub.4-nwherein R.sup.1 is ##STR1## (R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms), R.sup.2 is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a halogenated hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, n is 3 or 4, and a silicon- and/or fluorine-containing compound having at least two hydroxyl groups or alkoxyl groups in one molecule. The mold releasing agent of the present invention is excellent in mold releasing property, has a long life, provides a good surface finishing of molded article, and has no influence on secondary processability.

A bearing grease composition for ABS pumps comprises: a silicone oils having a viscosity of 100 to 1,000 cSt (at 25 degree-C.), the silicone oil serving as essential components of a base oil portion, and a diurea compound, as a thickening agent, at the compounding ratio of 2 to 30%-wt, the diurea compound having a general formula of: R.sub.1 --NHCONH--R.sub.2 --NHCONH--R.sub.3 wherein R.sub.2 indicates an aromatic bivalent hydroxyl group having the number of carbon atoms of 8 to 16, and R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 respectively indicate a saturated straight chain alkyl group having the number of carbon atoms of 6 to 18, and a cyclohexyl group, and wherein the ratio of the saturated straight chain alkyl group to the cyclohexyl group is within a range of 5 to 95%-mol to 95 to 5%-mol. The grease composition does not give any adverse effects on rubber materials, such as natural rubbers or EPDM's, stably maintains its satisfactory performance over a wide range from very low temperatures to ultra low temperatures, and advantageously increases its durability particularly under a high-temperature environment.

A synthetic ester composition exhibiting thermal and oxidative stability which comprises the reaction product of: a branched or linear alcohol having the general formula K(OH).sub.n, wherein R is an aliphatic or cyclo-aliphatic group having from about 2 to 20 carbon atoms and n is at least 2; and at least one branched mono-carboxylic acid which has a carbon number in the range between about C.sub.5 to C.sub.13 ; wherein the synthetic ester composition has between 5-35% unconverted hydroxyl groups, based on the total amount of hydroxyl groups in the branched or linear alcohol.
