摘要: The present disclosure provides laminates, which include adhesive materials and methods that allow for the removal of contaminants, e.g. particulate contaminants, from a substrate surface. In one embodiment, the laminates include (i) a substrate with contaminant disposed on its surface, (ii) a liquid, adhesive precursor and (iii) a film layer. The liquid, adhesive precursor is disposed between the substrate and the film layer. In another embodiment, the laminates include (i) a substrate with contaminant disposed on its surface, (ii) a cured adhesive layer and (iii) a film layer. The cured adhesive layer is disposed between the substrate and the film layer. The laminates may be used to remove contaminant from the substrate surface by removal of the film layer and the cured adhesive layer, which entraps the contaminant therein.

A composition of matter includes a urethane dimethacrylate-methyl methacrylate copolymer with a plurality of first polymer regions based on urethane dimethacrylate and a plurality of second polymer regions based on methyl methacrylate. The method includes placing an orthopedic joint implant having an attachment surface in a joint space, applying a first non-urethane-containing precursor, a second urethane-containing precursor, and a initiator to the attachment surface; contacting the first and second precursors and the initiator with the joint surface; and copolymerizing the first and second precursors and forming an adhesive copolymer and attaching the implant to the joint.

摘要: A method of making a release coated article is described comprising: providing a release coating composition comprising at least 50 wt. % of a mixture of ethylenically unsaturated monomers based on the total ethylenically unsaturated components; wherein the mixture comprises monomer(s) with a linear alkyl group with at least 18 carbon atoms, and monomer(s) with a branched alkyl group with 7 to 31 carbon atoms, and crosslinking component(s) comprising at least two ethylenically unsaturated groups. The method comprises applying the release coating to a major surface of a substrate and polymerizing the monomer(s) and crosslinking component(s) of the release coating. The monomer(s) with linear alkyl groups and branched alkyl groups are typically present at a weight ratio such that the release coating is a liquid at 25° C. Also described are release coating compositions and articles.

摘要: A process is disclosed for preparing a pressure sensitive adhesive hydrogel. The process (A) provides an oligomeric precursor, the oligomeric precursor comprising a polyether moiety endcapped with ethylenic unsaturation, the oligomeric precursor being associated with methacrylic acid; (B) provides an ethylenically unsaturated crosslinking agent selected from the group consisting of difunctional ethylenically unsaturated monomer, difunctional ethylenically unsaturated monomer and combinations of the foregoing; (C) provides a thiol; and (D) free radically curing a mixture of the oligomeric precursor, the ethylenically unsaturated crosslinking agent, and the thiol in water in the presence of the methacrylic acid at a pH between about 3.5 and about 9 to provide the pressure sensitive adhesive hydrogel.

摘要: A pressure-sensitive adhesive of the invention include a (meth)acryl-based polymer obtained by polymerization of a monomer component including 19 to 99.5% by weight of an alkyl (meth)acrylate having a branched alkyl group of 10 to 24 carbon atoms at an ester end. The pressure-sensitive adhesive has a satisfactory level of adhesive performance and can form a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer with a lower dielectric constant.
