摘要: An optical marker for positioning a medical device outside a body and the medical device are disclosed. The optical marker comprises: a base having a concave or a convex, the concave or the convex being provided with a non-coplanar optical mark(s), and the optical mark(s) being visible on the entire surface of the concave or the convex; and a connecting portion connected to the base and used for connecting with the medical device. In the optical marker, the base provided with the optical mark(s) has a non-planar structure, being able to increase the recognizable angle of the medical device and improve the recognition accuracy and stability.

摘要: Described herein are systems, apparatus, and methods for precise placement and guidance of tools during a surgical procedure, particularly a spinal surgical procedure. The system features a portable robot arm with end effector for precise positioning of a surgical tool. The system requires only minimal training by surgeons/operators, is intuitive to use, and has a small footprint with significantly reduced obstruction of the operating table. The system works with existing, standard surgical tools, does not required increased surgical time or preparatory time, and safely provides the enhanced precision achievable by robotic-assisted systems.

摘要: Surgical planning systems that automatically identify one or a plurality of different candidate trajectories to a defined intrabody treatment region. The systems can rank the identified candidate trajectories in an order of hierarchy based on defined parameters such as distance from a critical no-go location and whether a single or multiple different candidate trajectories are needed to provide coverage of the defined intrabody treatment region. The surgical planning systems are also configured to provide a User Interface that defines a workflow for an image-guided surgical procedure and allows a user to select one or more of the identified candidate trajectories steps in the workflow.

摘要: A guide for a bone cut comprises a guide base having an inner wall defining an opening. The inner wall has a plurality of detents distributed around the opening. The guide base has a proximal surface adapted to contact a skin of a person. An inner collar has one or more spring loaded devices extending outward from the inner collar in opposite directions. The inner collar is mountable with the spring loaded devices fitting within one or more of the plurality of detents. The inner collar has an inner wall defining a bore for receiving a cutting tool. The inner collar is configured to pivot the cutting tool about an axis, for cutting a bone. The axis lies along or parallel to a line along which the spring loaded devices lie.

摘要: A breast biopsy lateral arm system includes a removable gun mount which attaches to a carriage that traverses along an X-axis defined by a lateral arm in order to position a biopsy needle relative to a patient. The carriage rides along the lateral arm on self-adjusting rollers which are loaded against the lateral arm by spring members. A cam-actuated carriage slide lock can be used to secure the carriage in a desired position relative to the lateral arm. A cam-actuated removable gun mount lock allows the gun mount to be quickly changed and offset orthogonally with respect to the X-axis. An X-axis stop can be used to establish a position to which the carriage can be returned with accuracy.

摘要: A method and system for determining an extent of matter removed from a targeted anatomical structure are disclosed. The method includes acquiring an initial representation of a targeted anatomical structure and then removing matter from the targeted anatomical structure. An instrument is then navigated within the targeted anatomical structure. The instrument includes a tracking array, and a relative position of the instrument within the targeted anatomical structure is determined by the tracking array. The method includes recording the relative position of the instrument within the targeted anatomical structure to determine a final representation of the targeted anatomical structure. Finally, the method includes determining an extent of matter removed from the targeted anatomical structure by comparing the initial representation of the targeted anatomical structure with the final representation of the targeted anatomical structure. Indicators are provided to convey the extent of matter remaining within the targeted anatomical structure.

摘要: A method for registration of digital medical images is provided. The method includes the step of storing a 3D digital medical image having a 3D anatomical feature and a first coordinate system and storing a 2D digital medical image having a 2D anatomical feature and a second coordinate system. The method further includes the steps of storing a placement of a digital medical object on the 3D digital medical image and the 2D digital medical image and generating a simulated 2D digital medical image from the 3D digital medical image, wherein the simulated 2D digital medical image comprises a simulated 2D anatomical feature corresponding to the 3D anatomical feature. The 2D anatomical feature is compared with the simulated 2D anatomical feature until a match is reached and a registration of the first coordinate system with the second coordinate system based on the match is determined.
