摘要: Autonomously administering a pharmaceutical agent to an animal. A tag assembly is affixed to an animal. The tag assembly may be an ear tag, although other configurations can be used. The tag assembly has a reservoir that houses a pharmaceutical agent. An actuator and an application mechanism are provided. A control signal is generated responsive to an input, which may be from a sensor associated with the tag assembly or may be from an external circuit located apart from the tag assembly. Receipt of the control signal causes the actuator to apply a force to the reservoir, which in turn induces a flow of the pharmaceutical agent, via the application mechanism, to a body of the animal. The pharmaceutical agent may be topically or intravenously applied. The pharmaceutical may be an insecticide or some other agent. Multiple reservoirs can be provided to dispense the same or different pharmaceutical agents.

摘要: A system and method of use for an operational halotherapy device and red light device in an enclosed space. The halotherapy and red light system generally comprise a machine disposed in the enclosed space that disperses salt particles into the air, and includes a red light device that emits red light waves. The combination of both devices produces a refractory phenomenon when the red light waves make contact with the salt particles dispersed in the air to cause a plethora of multi-dimensional dispersions of light waves. Moreover, every time a salt particle makes contact with a red light wave, a portion of the wave light is absorbed by the particle and its temperature increases, lessening the moisture in the particle. The lessening of moisture in the particle dries the particle further, which enhances the therapeutic properties of the inhalable salt particle.

摘要: The present teachings generally include parabiotic dialysis systems and techniques. For example, the present disclosure includes parabiotic liver dialysis, e.g., for use in settings with limited resources. To this end, a parabiotic liver dialysis system may include a device having a semipermeable membrane with an average pore size that allows for the passage of albumin therethrough. In such a system, a first extracorporeal circuit may connect the device to the vascular system of a first animal (e.g., a liver patient), and a second extracorporeal circuit may connect the device to the vascular system of a second animal (e.g., a human with normal liver function), where the exchange of albumin therebetween is facilitated through the device. The present disclosure also includes various safety measures for parabiotic dialysis systems and techniques, such as biometric verification systems and techniques.
