摘要： A molten metal rotor receives and retains an end of a molten metal rotor shaft. The rotor shaft has one or more projections at the end received in the rotor. The rotor has an inner cavity, a top surface with an opening leading to the inner cavity, and at least one abutment. The opening includes one or more portions for allowing each projection to pass through the opening and into the inner cavity. The rotor and/or shaft are then rotated so at least one of the outwardly-extending projections is under the top surface of the rotor and is against an abutment. A molten metal pump, rotary degasser scrap melter or other device used in molten metal may utilize a rotor/shaft combination as disclosed herein.

摘要： A sealed clutch and a clutch plate, the sealed clutch including a spline connector for connecting the sealed clutch by splined connection to a transmission shaft of an automotive transmission. The spline connector comprising a connector housing and a spline ring. The spline ring including an opening having a spline configuration for cooperating with a splined portion of a transmission shaft. The connector housing being secured within the sealed clutch and the spline ring being removably connectable to the connector housing to enable the spline ring to be removed and replaced with a different spline ring for cooperating with a splined portion of a different transmission shaft. The clutch plate has a pair of drive plates having a coaxially aligned openings and a spline connector mounted between them. The outer diameter of the spline ring being slightly less than the inner diameter of the opening of one of the drive plates and a removable retainer being interposed between the spline connector and the drive plate to retain the spline ring, whereby removal of the removable retainer enables removal of the spline ring from the spline connector through the opening of the drive plate.

摘要： A disclosed submersible pump apparatus includes a three-dimensional frame, a pump housing, a drive shaft, an impeller, and first and second motors. The impeller is mounted on the driveshaft within the pump housing and is driven by one or both of the motors. The first motor is connected to a first end of the drive shaft and the second motor connected a second end of the drive shaft. The first and second motors are hydraulic motors and in a first configuration, the first and second motors are configured to cooperatively rotate the drive shaft with hydraulic fluid supplied to and removed from the first and second motors using a parallel fluidic connection. In a second configuration, only one of the motors has a drive gear and drives the drive shaft while the second motor does not have a drive gear and acts as a frictionless bearing supporting the drive shaft.
