Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a YNU-5 zeolite and/or a phosphorus modified YNU-5 zeolite, methods of their preparation, and methods of their use in hydrocarbon conversion processes, e.g., as part of a catalyst component and/or as part of a catalyst composition. Catalyst components with YNU-5 zeolite and/or with phosphorus modified YNU-5 zeolites, their methods of preparation, and their methods of use suitable for petroleum refining applications (e.g., hydrocarbon conversion processes such as fluid catalytic cracking and hydrocracking) are described herein. Also disclosed herein are catalyst compositions, which include YNU-5 zeolites and/or phosphorus modified YNU-5 zeolites and catalyst components thereof along with at least one additional catalyst component.
Abstract:
Disclosed are selectivated transalkylation catalyst compositions and methods of making the same. The selectivated transalkylation catalyst compositions have a zeolite framework structure of MWW, FAU, BEA*, or MOR, or mixtures thereof, and are selectivated with a selectivating solution. The selectivating solution includes a dissolved ion of at least one element in Group 1, Group 2, Group 15, Group 16, or Group 17 of the Periodic Table. Also disclosed are processes of producing ethylbenzene and cumene using the selectivated transalkylation catalyst compositions.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a reactive filter, that is a selective catalytic reduction filter or an oxidative reaction filter, including a porous substrate including internal pores having their inner surface, totally or partially, directly coated with a catalytic zeolite material resulting from an in situ hydrothermal synthesis. Also disclosed is a process for preparing such a reactive filter and the use thereof in an engine exhaust depolluting system.
Abstract:
Biomass is converted into a bio-oil containing stream in a riser reactor having multiple ports for the entry of fresh catalyst. Hard coke formed during pyrolysis may be separated from the riser effluent fraction containing which contains spent catalyst, soft coke and char. The separated hard coke may then be fed back into the riser reactor. The riser reactor may further have a cooling media which quenches the rapid heat transfer to the biomass during pyrolysis of the biomass in the mixing zone of the riser.
Abstract:
A process for obtaining a catalyst composite comprising the following steps: a). selecting a molecular sieve having pores of 10- or more-membered rings b). contacting the molecular sieve with a metal silicate different from said molecular sieve comprising at least one alkaline earth metal and one or more of the following metals: Ga, Al, Ce, In, Cs, Sc, Sn, Li, Zn, Co, Mo, Mn, Ni, Fe, Cu, Cr, Ti and V, such that the composite comprises at least 0.1 wt % of silicate.
Abstract:
A process is presented for the removal of contaminants like oxygenates from hydrocarbons. The contaminant oxygenates are removed from hydrocarbons that may be feed to cracking units. A crude feed stream is fed to a water wash column along with water to remove oxygenates and is subsequently treated with an adsorbent to effectively remove all the oxygenates from the crude hydrocarbon. A regenerant medium from a naphtha hydrotreating unit is used to regenerate the adsorbent.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a catalytic process for producing higher olefins including three- to four-carbon olefins from ethene sources by producing an ethene-containing stream from an ethene source, and subjecting the ethene-containing stream to a catalytic oligomerization process. In this catalytic process, the catalytic oligomerization process comprises exposing the ethene-containing stream in contact with a catalyst including a mixture of a zeolite material and a zeotype material.
