Abstract:
Predetermined processing is reliably performed on an image captured when a person serving as a photographic subject is photographed. When a person's face is detected in an image captured by an imaging section, a control section performs predetermined image processing on the captured image. If a person's face is not detected, the control section judges whether the predetermined processing is required to be performed on the captured image and, when judged that the predetermined processing is required to be performed, gives an instruction to perform the predetermine processing on the captured image.
Abstract:
A system and method for optimizing the creation and use of a collaborative digital photo album, to permit the sharing of digital photos among members associated with the collaborative digital album. It refers to a streamlined solution for a photo taking member, designated as a “sending party”, to automatically send a digital photo into the collaborative album with a single action, simultaneously with the taking the photo. It also provides an automated solution for persons associated with the collective digital album, designated as the “receiving parties”, to receive the photos automatically and without having to take any action. All persons associated can act as a “sending party” and also be a “receiving party”, those persons associated with a particular collaborative digital album being considered members of the collaborative group who have agreed to contribute to and/or receive copies of digital photo's placed in their particular collaborative album.
Abstract:
A mobile device may have a rear facing camera and a depth sensor to capture a portion of a document or a book in an environment. A processor may identify the document or the book based on the captured portion, a captured first part of the environment, a captured second part of the environment, and information received via a network adapter.
Abstract:
An example method of providing data to an application running on a mobile device includes receiving a request from a first application to activate a camera interface. The method also includes switching the mobile device into an application selection mode and displaying a set of applications on the display of the mobile device. The method further includes detecting a first input selection of a second application and displaying a document on the display of the mobile device. The document is associated with the second application. The method also includes detecting, while the document is displayed on the display, a second input selection of a user selectable option to activate a software camera of the mobile device. The method further includes capturing a screenshot of the document displayed on the display in response to detecting the second input selection. The method also includes providing the captured screenshot to the first application.
Abstract:
A memory card (103) for use in an electronic apparatus (101) is proposed. In order to control an electronic apparatus (101) with an inbuilt processor (301) incapable of exporting digital data externally of the electronic apparatus (101), a user local at the electronic apparatus (101) is required to operate the electronic apparatus (101). This is not always convenient. The proposed memory card (103) has a wireless module (207) for receiving an instruction wirelessly from a remote wireless-enabled apparatus (105), and also a central processor (201) for controlling the inbuilt processor (301) of the electronic apparatus (101) in accordance with the received instruction.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an information processing apparatus by which image data can be downloaded simply. A video camera 11 receives thumbnail images corresponding to one or more images included in an album from a video camera image station 41 and displays the thumbnail images on an LCD unit. If one or more images to be downloaded are selected, then the video camera 11 acquires image information of the selected image or images from a video camera image station 41, analyzes the image information and discriminates it one by one image whether or not the selected image data are downloadable. Every time one image is discriminated to be downloadable, the video camera 11 accesses a corresponding URL designated for each image, downloads the image from the URL and records the image onto a recording medium. The video camera 11 successively downloads the selected images in this manner.
Abstract:
A handheld imaging device includes an image sensor for sensing an image: a Very Long Instruction Word (VLIW) processor for processing the sensed image; a plurality of processing units provided in the VLIW processor, the plurality of processing units connected in parallel by a crossbar switch to form a multi-core processing unit for the VLIW processor; and an image sensor interface for receiving signals from the image sensor and converting the signals to a format readable by the VLIW processor, the image sensor interface sharing a wafer substrate with the VLIW processor. A transfer of data from the image sensor interface to the VLIW processor is conducted entirely on the shared wafer substrate.
Abstract:
A device for capturing rendered text is described. The device incorporates one or more visual sensors that receive visual information as a part of capturing rendered text. The visual sensors are collectively capable of capturing both text that is permanently printed on a page, and text that is displayed transitorily on a dynamic device. The device further incorporates a visual information disposition subsystem for disposing of visual information received by the visual sensors. The device further incorporates a package that bears the visual sensors and the visual information disposition subsystem, and is suitable to be held in a human hand.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a an electronic device such as a digital camera 300 that includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment a digital camera keep track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a “delete all transferred images” which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, a deletion criteria is used to prioritize which images are deleted first.
Abstract:
An image processing method, a client device, and an image processing system are provided. The method includes: detecting by a client device an image to be processed to obtain image information, and uploading the image information to a server; receiving by the client device at least one case related to the image, the at least one case being obtained by the server according to the image information and sent by the server; and processing the image by the client device according to the at least one case related to the image. The client device includes: a detection module, a receiving module, and a processing module. The system includes the foregoing client device and a server, where the server includes: a receiving module, a selection module, and a sending module. The method not only achieves simple and fast image processing but also improves adjustability during the processing process.
