摘要： An advertising film comprises a media layer and a cover layer. The media layer comprises pigment configured to form a graphic and polymers configured to prevent or reduce discoloration, even when mounted on styrene-butadiene rubber. The cover layer is typically transparent and is configured to help attached the media layer to a surface. The cover layer is optionally larger in area than the media layer. The media layer and the cover layer are optionally attached to the surface using different adhesives. In some embodiments, the medial layer is attached using an adhesive having lower adhesive strength than an adhesive used to attach the cover layer. The media layer and cover layer are optionally attached to a moving surface such as the handrail of a convenience.

The nonwoven facing layer is bonded to the at least one major surface at least in part by a meltbond between the first component portion of the bicomponent fibers and the randomly oriented fibers in the insulation sheet.

摘要： Methods for manufacturing fabric-reinforced weatherstrip include incorporating a fabric application step into a process for making coated substrates. In one embodiment, a strip of the fabric from a roll of material may be applied directly onto a coating after it has been applied in a coat die to a foam profile, while the coating is still in the molten state. Alternatively, a fabric application plate may be attached to an upstream side of coating die with a fabric feed channel cut into the plate. The fabric follows the channel to contact and mate with the foam profile. The fabric applicator plate may be configured so as to exert pressure on only the part of the product where the fabric is being applied. Ultrasonic welding techniques may also be employed.

摘要： A film dispenser for applying an adhesive film to an elongated structure has a mounting frame, guide members on the bottom portions of the mounting frame sides to engage the shoulder portions of the elongated structure to allow movement of the apparatus in relation to the elongated structure while the guide members remains engaged with the shoulder portions, and roll mounting assembly for securely receiving a film roll near the top leading end of the apparatus. When the guide members are engaged to the shoulder portions of the elongated structure, an end of the adhesive film is applied onto the surface of the elongated structure, the apparatus is then slid to dispatch more adhesive film with controlled and consistent lateral positioning in relation to the surface of the elongated structure.

摘要： A film and a method of applying the film to a handrail of an escalator or moving walkway are provided. The film can be a single or double layered film. Printed matter, e.g. advertising, can be applied to or between the films. An apparatus and related method for applying the film are also included and rely on the motion of the handrail to unroll a supply of the film, with one or more rollers pressing the film onto the handrail. The film is stretched during application to prestretch and reduce tendency for compressive strains in use to cause wrinkling of the film and detachment from the handrail. To retain the ends of the film in relative position, a film cap is fused or bonded to end portions of the film.

摘要： Methods for forming a composite for use as a vehicle weather strip and the products formed thereby are disclosed in which a main body member is formed from an elastomer polymer and an abrasion resistant decorative layer including a blend of a crosslinkable thermoplastic polyolefin and a thermoplastic vulcanizate is applied thereon. The crosslinkable thermoplastic polyolefin preferably includes a crosslinkable olefin homopolymer. The olefin homopolymer preferably contains grafted silane functional groups to allow the material to be crosslinked in the presence of moisture. The abrasion resistant decorative layer may be extruded or otherwise applied onto the main body either prior to or after the main body member is cured and either prior to or after the crosslinkable polyolefin of the abrasion resistant decorative layer is crosslinked. The material of the abrasion resistant decorative layer may be extruded into sheet form and laminated onto the main body member.

The covering material is greater in width than the sum of the widths of the top and two side surfaces, so that the edges of the formed covering material extend beyond the mineral fiber core. A vacuum is applied below the mineral fiber core to draw the formed covering material extending beyond the side surfaces under the core.
