Abstract: Provided is a liquid crystal display device having a pixel including a transistor and a liquid crystal element and a protection circuit electrically connected to one of a source and a drain of the transistor through a data line. The protection circuit includes a first terminal supplied with a first power supply potential and a second terminal supplied with a second power supply potential higher than the first power supply potential. In a moving image display mode, an image signal is input from the data line to the liquid crystal element through the transistor, and the first power supply potential is set at the first potential. In a still image display mode, supply of the image signal is stopped, and the first power supply potential is set at the second potential. The second potential is substantially the same as the minimum value of the image signal.

Abstract: An object is to provide a pulse signal output circuit capable of operating stably and a shift register including the pulse signal output circuit. A pulse signal output circuit according to one embodiment of the disclosed invention includes first to tenth transistors. The ratio W/L of the channel width W to the channel length L of the first transistor and W/L of the third transistor are each larger than W/L of the sixth transistor. W/L of the fifth transistor is larger than W/L of the sixth transistor. W/L of the fifth transistor is equal to W/L of the seventh transistor. W/L of the third transistor is larger than W/L of the fourth transistor. With such a structure, a pulse signal output circuit capable of operating stably and a shift register including the pulse signal output circuit can be provided.

Each of the light-emitting elements (51) includes electrodes (85, 87) on one surface and the other surface is in contact with the film (927). The conductors (21, 23) and the electrodes (85, 87) are opposed to each other. An extrusion mechanism (929) is pushed out from the film (927) side to the substrate (800) side so that the conductors (21, 23) and the electrodes (85, 87) are in contact with each other, whereby the conductors (21, 23) and the electrodes (85, 87) are electrically connected to each other.

Abstract: A display apparatus with low power consumption is provided. The display apparatus includes a circuit for boosting a signal voltage output from a gate driver. The signal voltage from the gate driver can be boosted and then supplied to a pixel, which is suitable for driving a display device with a high threshold voltage. Furthermore, by utilizing a boosting function, output of the gate driver can be reduced, and power consumption can also be reduced. By combination with a pixel having a boosting function of image data, a display apparatus with lower power consumption can be achieved.

Abstract: A display device featuring a touch detection and a fingerprint imaging functions is provided. A display device includes a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element. A first conductive layer, a second conductive layer, and an insulating layer are provided above the common electrode. Abstract: Provided is a highly reliable semiconductor device. The present invention relates to a shift register circuit including a plurality of stages of sequential circuits. An output signal of a sequential circuit is input to a sequential circuit in the subsequent stage. Before a sequential circuit outputs a signal and after the sequential circuit outputs the signal, the potential of a gate of a transistor included in the sequential circuit is changed in accordance with a clock signal so as to avoid voltage stress application between the gate and a source of the transistor for a long time. The shift register circuit can be applied to a scan line driver circuit of a display apparatus, for example.

Abstract: A display device with an imaging function is provided. A high-resolution imaging device or display device is provided. The display device includes first to third switches, first and second transistors, a capacitor, first and second wirings, and a light-emitting and light-receiving element. One electrode of the first switch is electrically connected to the first wiring, and the other electrode is electrically connected to a gate of the first transistor and one electrode of the capacitor. One electrode of the second switch is electrically connected to one of a source and a drain of the first transistor, one electrode of the light-emitting and light-receiving element, and the other electrode of the capacitor, and the other electrode of the second switch is electrically connected to a gate of the second transistor and one electrode of the third switch. The other electrode of the third switch is electrically connected to the second wiring. The light-emitting and light-receiving element has a function of emitting light of a first color and a function of receiving light of a second color.

The light-emitting element includes a light-emitting diode chip, and the phosphor layer has a function of emitting light of a complementary color of an emission color of the light-emitting element.
