Abstract:
In a control device of a braking device, a brake force holding control that holds a brake force generated by a braking device main body to wheels of a vehicle to a predetermined value or more is executed based on a change amount per unit time of an operation amount of a brake operation member. Accordingly, since the brake force holding control that holds the brake force to the predetermined value or more is executed by the braking device main body based on at least a change amount per unit time of an operation amount of the brake operation member, holding of the brake force can be appropriately executed regardless of an operation state.
Abstract:
A braking control system includes sensors for detecting pressure applied to a brake pedal. The system can also include a pressure sensor capable of detecting the hydraulic pressure of the braking system. The system can also include a position sensor for detecting a position of the brake pedal. The pressure applied to the brake pedal is compared to either the hydraulic pressure or the pedal position. If the resulting measurements are not correlated properly, braking countermeasures are applied. Braking countermeasures can include engine braking, regenerative braking, hydraulic assist, and brake pad assist.

Abstract:
A vehicle braking apparatus that can exert high braking performance during vehicle braking is implemented by a control mode that can be realized in a braking apparatus (10) of usual hardware. In controlling the braking apparatus (10) of a vehicle, a climb rate of a wheel cylinder braking oil pressure (Pw) is decreased smaller than a climb rate corresponding to a climb rate of a master cylinder oil pressure (Pm) from a time point at which the wheel cylinder braking oil pressure (Pw) reaches a predetermined threshold value. The time point at which the wheel cylinder braking oil pressure (Pw) reaches the predetermined threshold value (P3) is estimated based on the climb process of the master cylinder oil pressure (Pm) or directly detected.
Abstract:
Methods of assessing driver behavior include monitoring vehicle systems and driver monitoring systems to accommodate for a slow reaction time, attention lapse and/or alertness of a driver. When it is determined that a driver is drowsy, for example, the response system may modify the operation of one or more vehicle systems. The response system can modify the control of two or more systems simultaneously in response to driver behavior.

Abstract:
Early actuation of an active device of a vehicle (e.g., a seat belt tensioner) is provided by applying rate of change of brake pressure to monitored brake pressure, so as to produce a modified brake pressure characteristic which is advanced in time. The active device is actuated at a brake pressure threshold.
Abstract:
In a method for carrying out an emergency braking procedure in a vehicle, at least one electric actuator in the braking system is automatically actuated to generate an increased brake force in the case of an emergency situation. A maximum voltage, which exceeds the rated voltage of the actuator, is applied to the electric actuator.
Abstract:
A vehicle control system for a vehicle includes an engine control device configured to automatically stop an engine of the vehicle during running of the vehicle; and a brake control device configured to execute an assisting control for increasing an output of a brake for restraining rotation of a wheel of the vehicle when a starting condition for starting the assisting control is satisfied, such that an amount of the output increased by execution of the assisting control becomes larger than an amount corresponding to an operational state of a brake operating member of the vehicle. The brake control device includes an automatic-stop assisting control portion configured, during an automatic stop state in which the engine is automatically stopped by the engine control device, to execute the assisting control in a manner different from a manner in which the assisting control is executed during an activation state of the engine.
Abstract:
According to the braking force control system of the present invention it is prevented that the braking root pressure is increased unnecessarily high when the braking force increase suppressing control was initiated during the execution of the brake assist control without losing the effects of increasing the braking force available when the brake assist control only is executed. When the brake assist control is initiated, the pressure increase Pcf, Pcr of the braking root pressure of the front and rear wheels is increased relative to the master cylinder pressure Pm, but when the anti-skid control is executed for the left and right of the front or rear wheels, when the anti-skid control is executed for one of the front left and right wheels, while a yaw behavior control is executed for the other of the front left and right wheels, or when a braking force front/rear distribution control is executed, during the execution of the anti-skid control, the increase of the braking root pressure for the front or rear wheels is suppressed.
