A computer system is made capable of accepting more than one type of central processor including a plurality of sockets for receiving more than one type of identification signal, a clock generator responsive to said identifying signal for generating clock signals for the identified type of processor, and means responsive to said identifying signal for disabling and enabling signal paths from the socket.

A method is provided for producing an elongated foam rod with a string embedded therein. A plurality of strings is mounted to a frame under tension and each string is laid in a die with an elongate preformed piece of foam and the foam is then heated in the range 90.degree.-100.degree. C. at a pressure in the range 130-190 kg/cm.sup.2 for 90 secs.

Methods and apparatus for fabricating IB-IIIA-VIA2 compound semiconductor thin films are provided. A method for fabricating IB-IIIA-VIA2 compound semiconductor thin films includes providing a substrate with a precursor film thereover, wherein the precursor film includes elements of group IB and group IIIA. An annealing process is performed on the substrate and the precursor film thereover and forms a group IB-IIIA alloy thin film over the substrate. A surface treatment is performed by transporting ionized group VIA elements to the group IB-IIIA alloy thin film to react therewith to thereby form an IB-IIIA-VIA2 compound semiconductor thin film.

A bulb with rotating light effect comprises a bulb casing being a hollow casing; an inner lower side of the bulb casing being formed with an engaging portion; the engaging portion having a plurality of teeth for engaging with other elements; a seat having a receiving space for receiving other elements; a top end of the seat having a connecting portion; a motor installed in the receiving space of the seat for driving other elements; a gear connected to a spindle of the motor; the gear being an axial gear which is engaged on the spindle of the motor; rotation of the motor will drive the gear to rotate; the gear being engaged to the teeth of the engaging portion; thus, when the gear rotates, the bulb casing is driven to rotate; and an LED lamp set having at least one LED.
Abstract:
The described embodiments of forming bonding structures for package on package involves removing a portion of connectors and molding compound of the lower package. The described bonding mechanisms enable easier placement and alignment of connectors of an upper package to with connector of a lower package. As a result, the process window of the bonding process is wider. In addition, the bonding structures have smoother join profile and planar joint plane. As a result, the bonding structures are less likely to crack and also are less likely to crack. Both the yield and the form factor of the package on package structure are improved.

A method includes placing a mold chase over a bottom package, wherein the bottom package has a connector at a top surface of the bottom package. The mold chase includes a cover, and a pin under and connected to the cover. The pin occupies a space extending from a top surface of the connector to the cover. A polymer is filled into a space between the cover of the mold chase and the bottom package. The polymer is then cured. After the step of curing the polymer, the mold chase is removed, and the connector is exposed through an opening in the polymer, wherein the opening is left by the pin of the mold chase.

A method for sorting menu options in a program menu of an electronic device creates an order parameter, a basic count parameter, and a carry count parameter to each menu option. The basic count parameters, the carry count parameters, and the order parameters are recalculated in response to a user-selected menu option, a user-added menu option, or a user-deleted menu option. The menu options are displayed according to the order parameters.

A tire pressure monitoring device with an inclinable valve stem is disclosed. The tire pressure monitoring device includes: a main body having a channel, wherein the channel includes a socket segment near one end thereof; the valve stem being movably fixed to a wheel rim and having a domed end movably received in the socket segment wherein the domed end has a threaded hole axially passing therethrough; and a positioning bolt being positioned in the channel from an opposite end of the channel and coupled with the threaded hole, so that the domed end of the valve stem is movably positioned in the socket segment and when the domed end moves, an angle between the connected valve stem and the main body is changed, thereby allowing the main body to abut against the wheel rim.

Described herein are systems and methods for quantitatively measuring manganese ion efflux in a subject. In general, the systems and methods compare imaging data from a subject taken over specific periods of time to pharmacokinetic models in order to measure manganese ion efflux rates from an organ in a subject. By understanding the specific location and rate of manganese ion efflux and influx from the organ, it is possible to more accurately correlate calcium ion activity. Calcium ion efflux is associated with a number of biological mechanisms in the subject, and the methods and systems described herein can be used as a diagnostic tool not only for monitoring calcium efflux in the subject but also aid in the treatment of diseases associated with changes in calcium ion efflux.

The solar cell has the following structures: a substrate; a first electrode formed on the substrate; a light absorbing layer formed on the first electrode, wherein the light absorbing layer includes a first compound thin film and a second compound thin film, and a band gap of the second compound thin film is larger than that of the first compound thin film; a buffer layer formed on the light absorbing layer; a transparent conducting layer formed on the buffer layer; and a second electrode formed on the transparent conducting layer.
