    摘要: A lid apparatus for opening/closing an opening of a main body includes a lid with working and back faces. An arm attaches the lid to the main body to be operable for opening/closing. The arm includes a first axis pivotally supporting the arm on the main body around the opening, and a second axis swingably supporting the back face of the lid on the arm. The second axis is located between the gravity center of the lid and the first axis. A regulatory member intervenes between the arm and the back face of the lid to set the working face of the lid in parallel with the opening.

    摘要: A display data compression method can execute both irreversible compression and reversible compression, wherein display data are divided into a plurality of two-dimensional blocks, each of which is subjected to compression. In the irreversible compression, display data of each block are subjected to discrete cosine transform, quantization using a quantization table, one-dimensional rearrangement, and Huffman coding using one-dimensional Huffman table. In the reversible compression, display data of each block are subjected to scanning and compression, which are repeatedly performed by changing the scanning method therefor, so as to produce compressed data having the smallest number of effective bits. In expansion, the compressed data are decoded so that the decoded data are combined together over the blocks, thus restoring the original display data.

    摘要: A forward/backward gear shifting mechanism for an outboard engine includes an operating cable passed through an outer pipe fixed to a bracket attached to an under cover and extended into an engine room, a shift rod for shifting a forward/backward gear, a driving arm for turning the shift rod, and a transmission mechanism linked to the operating cable to transmit operating force to the driving arm. The transmission mechanism includes an arm mechanism including an input arm, an output arm and a pivotal shaft and supported for turning about a fixed rotational axis by support members on the engine unit. The operating cable is linked to the input arm of the transmission mechanism by a slider, i.e., a linking member. A first connecting member connecting the input member and the slider is nearer to the bracket than a second connecting member connecting the operating cable and the slider. A necessary stroke of the operating cable is secured, choices of disposing the transmission mechanism are increased, the lightness of a shifting operation is improved, and the transmission mechanism is compact.
