Abstract: A method includes receiving, by a first computing entity of a database system, a query request that is formatted in accordance with a generic query format. The method further includes generating, by the first computing entity, an initial query plan based on the query request and a query instruction set. The method further includes determining, by the first computing entity, storage parameters. The method further includes determining, by the first computing entity, processing resources for processing the query request based on the storage parameters. The method further includes generating, by the first computing entity, an optimized query plan from the initial query plan based on the storage parameters, the processing resources, and optimization tools. The method further includes sending, by the first computing entity, the optimized query plan to a second computing entity for distribution and execution of the optimized query plan.

Abstract: An embodiment includes issuing an indication that a thread is a time-critical thread. The embodiment initiates an active partition migration, from a source server to a destination server, of a source partition on which the program is stored. The embodiment stores, during the migration, records of locations of pages in memory referenced by the time-critical thread. The embodiment detects that a migration threshold has been reached, indicative of a threshold portion of the migration being complete. Responsive to detecting the migration threshold, the embodiment performs a priority migration of the time-critical thread. The priority migration includes suspending execution of the time-critical thread at the source server, retrieving the records of the locations of the pages in memory referenced by the time-critical thread, and issuing a command to transfer content from the pages to the destination server. The embodiment also includes issuing a migration command to complete the migration.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for scheduling a plurality of available graphics processing units (GPUs). Multiple GPU pools may be set, wherein each GPU pool is configured to serve one or more jobs requiring the same number of GPUs. Available GPUs may be assigned to each GPU pool. A job and job information related to the job may be received, wherein the job information indicates a number of GPUs required for performing the job. A corresponding GPU pool may be selected from the multiple GPU pools based at least on the job information. Available GPUs to be scheduled to the job in the selected GPU pool may be determined based at least on the job information. In addition, the determined available GPUs may be scheduled to the job.

Abstract: A data processing method is provided, including: sending, by an operation node, an alarm signal to a control node when a monitor detects that processing performance of data from a first data transmission pipe is lower than a first threshold (S102), where the alarm signal is used to indicate that the processing performance of the data from the first data transmission pipe is low; and when receiving the alarm signal, reducing, by the control node, a data amount that is from the first data transmission pipe and that is allocated to the operation node (S103). The solution can reduce fluctuation in processing performance of the data processing system during traffic control.

Abstract: System and method for managing hardware containerization in a wireless network architecture, are described. In one aspect, capability information of a plurality of hardware units is transmitted to a host processor to select a set of hardware units in a system-on-chip (SoC). Configuration information that includes the selection of one or more hardware allocation parameters and one or more types of statistics for one or more processing flows is received by the selected set of hardware units. A hardware container is configured to enable SoC resource allocation related to a control group and a namespace of SoC resources via a plurality of hardware modules in the SoC. The hardware container is managed based on periodic collection and analysis of the statistical data via a plurality of instrumentation modules in the SoC, and the impact on the one or more processing flows is tracked at the host processor.

Abstract: In an approach to improve mobile computation while traveling by dynamically generating one or more routes base on computing resource requirements of one or more endpoint devices. Embodiments identify, in real time, a plurality of autonomous vehicles, wherein the plurality of autonomous vehicles are traveling along a common route. Further embodiments, adjust, in real time, relative positions and speeds of the plurality of autonomous vehicles to maintain the plurality of autonomous vehicles within a predetermined geographic area while traveling along the common route, and wherein the predetermined geographic area is sufficient to collectively provide an amount of edge computing resources to satisfy one or more computing resource requirements of the one or more endpoint devices located within a first autonomous vehicle. Additionally, embodiments adjust, in real time, a route of the first autonomous vehicle based on the common route of the plurality of autonomous vehicles providing the edge computing resources.

Abstract: Systems and methods can be configured to determine a plurality of computing resource configurations used to perform machine learning model training jobs. A computing resource configuration can comprise: a first tuple including numbers of worker nodes and parameter server nodes, and a second tuple including resource allocations for the worker nodes and parameter server nodes. At least one machine learning training job can be executed using a first computing resource configuration having a first set of values associated with the first tuple. During the executing the machine learning training job: resource usage of the worker nodes and parameter server nodes caused by a second set of values associated with the second tuple can be monitored, and whether to adjust the second set of values can be determined. Whether a stopping criterion is satisfied can be determined. One of the plurality of computing resource configurations can be selected.
