Abstract: A method for parking brake adaptable assistance on a vehicle, the vehicle comprising a parking brake and a set of sensors, and at least one electronic control unit controlling the parking brake and the set of sensors, each sensor being monitored by the at least one control unit to measure a specific parameter, and a set of actuators, each actuator being activated by the at least one electronic control unit to engage a specific action or reminder, characterized in that the method comprises a first list (102) of situations defined by a set of valued parameters measured by the sensors, and a second list (101) of parking brake actions or reminders, and a list of relations (103) establishing a relation between each situation of the first list and an action or reminder from the second list and further comprising the following steps: i. determine the values of the parameters measured by the sensors; ii. determine the situation defined by the set of values determined at step i. iii. engage the action or reminder which is in relation with the situation determined at step ii., according to the list of relations (103).

Abstract: The braking control device generates braking force by operating an electric motor to press a friction member against a wheel-fixed rotary member. The braking control device includes: a wheel speed sensor detecting wheel speed; a rotation angle sensor detecting a motor rotation angle; a drive circuit driving the motor; and a controller controlling the drive circuit. The controller sets a current limit circle within d-axis/q-axis current characteristics of the motor based on specifications of the drive circuit, calculates a voltage limit circle within the d-axis/q-axis current characteristics based on the rotation angle, executes slip suppression control for reducing the degree of wheel slip based on the wheel speed, calculates d-axis and q-axis target current values based on intersection points of the current limit circle and the voltage limit circle when execution of slip suppression control begins, and controls the drive circuit based on the d-axis and q-axis target current values.

The brake booster control device has a second control electronics that, at least in a normal mode, outputs the control signal to the motor of the electromechanical brake booster, taking into account the specification signal outputted by the hydraulic control device.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an auto-braking system which includes a braking device, a receiver, and a controller. The controller includes a determining portion, a verifying portion and an executing portion. The determining portion determines whether a vehicle will violate a red signal of the traffic light based on the traffic light state information. The verifying portion verifies the traffic light state information is valid by comparing the traffic light state information with the image of the traffic light captured by the sensor. The executing portion executes a first braking control to slow the vehicle at a first deceleration rate when the determining portion determines that the vehicle will violate a red signal. The executing portion executes a second braking control to slow the vehicle at a second deceleration rate to stop at a specified position when the verifying portion verifies that the traffic light state information is valid.

Abstract: A method for operating a braking system of a motor vehicle equipped with a wheel-slip control device, wherein the braking system includes an electrohydraulic service brake, set to generate braking forces independently of an actuation by an operator. The system having a mechanical or electromechanical parking brake actuated by an actuating element, and acting, in particular, on the rear wheels of the motor vehicle. An operator-side intent to actuate the parking brake is recognized and subsequently during the actuation of the parking brake a hydraulic pressure of the service brake is generated that acts on at least one rear wheel, of the motor vehicle is capable of being braked by the parking brake. The hydraulic pressure sufficient to assist the parking brake and correspondingly lock the rear wheel of the motor vehicle braked by the parking brake during travel of the motor vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicle collision avoidance support apparatus includes a state determination unit configured to determine whether or not there is a state where a moving object proceeding in a direction intersecting with a traveling direction of a vehicle may exist; a first sensor configured to detect an object in front of the vehicle; and an avoidance operation control unit configured to cause the vehicle to perform a predetermined avoidance operation for avoiding a collision according to a detection result of the first sensor within a determination region in front of the vehicle. The avoidance operation control unit uses a region that is wider in a direction perpendicular and horizontal to the travelling direction as the determination region when it is determined that there is a state where the moving object may exist in comparison with when it is determined that there is no state where the moving object may exist.

Abstract: Described herein is a vehicle system configured to identify and mitigate inappropriate driving behavior. In some embodiments, the vehicle system may receive input information from one or more input sensors. The vehicle system may identify driving behaviors related to a vehicle from the received input. The vehicle system may determine whether the driving behaviors are inappropriate in light of one or more conditions affecting the vehicle. Upon identifying inappropriate behavior, the vehicle system may generate a set of corrective actions capable of being executed to mitigate the inappropriate driving behavior.

Abstract: A vehicle includes at least one brake assembly configured to brake at least one wheel of the vehicle in response to an applied voltage. A power supply is in signal communication with the at least one brake assembly. The power supply is configured to operate in a first mode that outputs a first voltage and a second mode that outputs a second voltage greater than the first voltage. A brake control system is in signal communication with the at least one brake assembly and the power supply. The brake control system is configured to determine a driving state of the vehicle, and is configured to output a brake boost request signal to initiate the second mode of the power supply in response to detecting the driving state, wherein a braking response time of the at least one brake assembly is improved in response to applying the second voltage.

Abstract: A method for operating a braking assistance system of a vehicle, wherein the braking assistance system assists a braking of the vehicle by a vehicle braking device in the event of a hazard braking. To differentiate between the hazard braking and a normal braking, at least two variables, representing a braking demand of a driver of the vehicle, are ascertained and a threshold value is established for each variable wherein hazard braking is recognized when at least the two variables exceed their particular threshold value, whereupon an automated braking intervention by the braking assistance system is initiated with the aid of the vehicle braking device. Furthermore, at least one driving-situation variable representing the instantaneous driving situation of the vehicle is ascertained and the at least two threshold values are changed depending on the at least one driving-situation variable.
