Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for implementing an accident reporter are disclosed. In one aspect, a method includes the actions of receiving data that reflects characteristics of a vehicle. The actions further include, based on the data, determining that the vehicle has been in an accident. The actions further include, based on determining that the vehicle has been in an accident and based on the data that reflects the characteristics of the vehicle, determining a classification of the accident. The actions further include determining additional data to collect and a recipient of a description of the accident. The actions further include receiving the additional data. The actions further include generating the description of the accident based on the data that reflects the characteristics of a vehicle and the additional data. The actions further include providing, for output, the description of the accident.

Abstract: A remote station includes a transceiver, a memory and a control module. The memory is configured to store (i) baseline static paths of vehicles moving through an intersection, and (ii) map data. The control module is configured to obtain road obstruction information, based on the baseline static paths and the map data, determine whether the road obstruction information affects one or more of the baseline static paths of the vehicles through the intersection and update the one or more baseline static paths based on the road obstruction information, and broadcast, via the transceiver, a map message indicating the updated one or more baseline static paths.

Abstract: A vehicle traveling control apparatus includes a selection unit and a traveling control unit. The selection unit selects a control target vehicle for a first vehicle traveling on a merging destination lane, out of one or more second vehicles traveling on a merging origin lane, by comparing respective front-rear positions of front ends of the vehicles. The traveling control unit controls traveling of the first vehicle traveling on the merging destination lane, to allow the selected control target vehicle to merge immediately in front of the first vehicle on the merging destination lane. The traveling control unit executes control of allowing the control target vehicle to merge immediately in front of the first vehicle if the control target vehicle is selected, and refrains from executing control of allowing any of the second vehicles to merge immediately in front of the first vehicle if the control target vehicle is not selected.

Abstract: In embodiments, sensors from an environment in which a mobile device is moving may be used to provide extra input to allow for improved risk analysis and detection in the environment. To prevent unwanted surveillance, proximity to the environment's sensors may be required. It will be appreciated a coordinator in the environment may assist with handling multiple sensor data provided to the mobile device, and may also assist with identifying risk. The environment may also act as a data feed allowing the mobile device to simply receive additional sensor data and perform its analysis and operation.

Abstract: Among other things, equipment is located at an intersection of a transportation network. The equipment includes an input to receive data from a sensor oriented to monitor ground transportation entities at or near the intersection. A wireless communication device sends to a device of one of the ground transportation entities, a warning about a dangerous situation at or near the intersection, there is a processor and a storage for instructions executable by the processor to perform actions including the following. A machine learning model is stored that can predict behavior of ground transportation entities at or near the intersection at a current time. The machine learning model is based on training data about previous motion and related behavior of ground transportation entities at or near the intersection. Current motion data received from the sensor about ground transportation entities at or near the intersection is applied to the machine learning model to predict imminent behaviors of the ground transportation entities. An imminent dangerous situation for one or more of the ground transportation entities at or near the intersection is inferred from the predicted imminent behaviors. The wireless communication device sends the warning about the dangerous situation to the device of one of the ground transportation entities.

Abstract: A device may receive sensor data and video data associated with a vehicle, and may process the sensor data, with a rule-based detector model, to determine whether a probability of a vehicle accident satisfies a first threshold. The device may preprocess acceleration data of the sensor data to generate calibrated acceleration data, and may process the calibrated acceleration data, with an anomaly detector model, to determine whether the calibrated acceleration data includes anomalies. The device may filter the sensor data to generate filtered sensor data, and may process the filtered sensor data and anomaly data, with a decision model, to determine whether the probability of the vehicle accident satisfies a second threshold. The device may process the filtered sensor data, the anomaly data, and the video data, with a machine learning model, to determine whether the vehicle accident has occurred, and may perform one or more actions.
