Abstract: A preparative method for carboxylic acids is disclosed in the present invention. The method is characterized in that: compounds (II) are reacted in the presence of hydrogen peroxide and base to produce target products (I), as represented by the following reaction scheme: wherein R1 is aryl, pyridyl, pyrimidyl, pyridazinyl, pyrazinyl, benzothienyl, benzofuranyl, quinolinyl, isoquinolinyl, thiadiazolyl, C1-6 alkyl, C3-6 cycloalkyl, C2-6 alkenyl, C2-6 alkynyl and hydrogen; R2 is alkoxycarbonyl, alkylaminocarbonyl, aminocarbonyl, alkylthiolcarbonyl, cyano, sulfonyl, sulfinyl, carbonyl, aldehyde, carboxyl, nitro, alkyl and hydrogen; R3 is alkoxycarbonyl, alkyl amido carbonyl, aminocarbonyl, cyano, sulfonyl, sulfinyl, carbonyl, carboxyl and nitro. The present invention has the following main benefits: cheap and readily available starting materials, safe processes, high yield, good quality, which facilitates industrial production.

Abstract: A separating material superior to conventional separating materials, and a separation method are provided, with which 1,3-butadiene is selectively separated and recovered from a mixed gas including 1,3-butadiene and C4 hydrocarbons other than 1,3-butadiene. A metal complex, which comprises a dicarboxylic acid compound (I) (see (I) below) represented by general formula (I), an ion of a metal such as beryllium, and a dipyridyl compound (II) represented by general formula (II), namely L-Z-L (II) (see L below), is characterized by including, as the dipyridyl compound (II), at least two different dipyridyl compounds (II). The metal complex is used as a 1,3-butadiene separating material. Formula (I) L is represented by any of the compounds below.

Abstract: A process of preparing olefins of the formula (I) is described herein: with R1 being a substituted or unsubstituted (C1-C30)hydrocarbyl, and R2 being a substituted or unsubstituted (C1-C20)hydrocarbyl. The process includes reacting a compound of formula (II) wherein Ar is chosen from in the presence of a palladium-based catalyst and an organic solvent. A process of preparing olefins of the formula (III) is also described: with R3 being a substituted or unsubstituted (C1-C30)hydrocarbyl, R4 being a substituted or unsubstituted (C1-C20)hydrocarbyl, and R5 being a substituted or unsubstituted (C1-C30) hydrocarbyl.
