Abstract:
A family of minimally-invasive surgical (MIS) cardiac interventional tools with tactile feedback based upon cardiac mechanical data and physiologic parameters derived from sensors positioned upon the tools are configurable for optimal placement of an end-effector to provide acute cardiac resuscitation and/or remote cardiovascular intervention for a subject. A haptic interface (e.g., a haptic handle, haptic glove or a simulated haptic heart) provides a clinician with real, not virtual, interaction with the cardiovascular anatomy (including intrathoracic organs) of the subject to optimize end-effector placement. The MIS tools optionally include webbed blade portions for exploration of extracardiac or intrathoracic spaces. The blade portions are initially collapsed but expand into an array of finger-like projections that function as sensors, dilatation and/or dissection tools, pharmacological delivery tools, and/or electrodes for sensing, pacing and defibrillation, and/or as a manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic mechanical support system for cardiac resuscitation and/or for restoring intrathoracic organ function(s).
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to a device for applying a pulsating pressure to a local region of the body and applications thereof. The device may be used to increase the blood flow in a local region of the body, and in preferred embodiments provides a device for regulating the core body temperature of a patient.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a system for treatment of Deep Vein Thrombosis. The system includes an appliance configured to secure to a portion of a body of a user and a plurality of energy units, coupled to the appliance, that provide energy inside the body of the user to at least one of break-up thrombin or a clot formation and increase vascular flow.
Abstract:
An applicator for topically applying a semi-solid medicament comprises an applicator head having an applicator face for spreading medicament across the skin; a sealable aperture on the applicator face; and a drive mechanism for forcing medicament out through the aperture. The applicator head includes a cartridge port at the rear of the applicator face for receiving a dispensing end of a cartridge charged with medicament. The drive mechanism comprises a dial knob rotatable around a longitudinal axis of the applicator for advancing a piston along a drive member towards the applicator head to force medicament from the cartridge and thereby dispense a predetermined dose of medicament onto the applicator face.
Abstract:
A device for treating nasal congestion and/or relieving sinusitis symptoms in a patient comprises: means for generating vibrations, attaching means configured attach said generating means to a location adjacent to the patient's nasal cavity, nasal passageway or sinuses and means for generating a fluid stream and delivering the fluid stream to the respiratory tract of said patient. The vibration generating means further comprises a motor, an eccentric member rotatable by said motor and an impact member mechanically linked to the eccentric member such that the impact member is vibratable by the eccentric member.
Abstract:
A female stimulation device contained in a housing to deliver pulsating positive air pressure to the clitoris and other regions of the female genital region having an air pump/compressor, a length of tubing connected to the air pump/compressor, a variable control on the pump to increase or decrease the frequency of the pulsation, a regulator to vary the positive air pressure, a pressure gauge attached to the pump outlet and the regulator, a container connected to the compressor to provide a means to include a lubricant and/or scent in the air flow. Various tips to direct the pulsating positive air flow and direct mechanical stimulation to the clitoris and nearby regions are connectable to the tubing outlet.
Abstract:
A touch-to-activate structure for make-up pen with function of vibration massage receives and contains therein a liquid and includes a container body, a base, a vibration device, a shielding lid, a cover, a leakage prevention valve, a contact massage lid, and a hold-down cap. The shielding lid possesses elasticity blocks external moisture, and supports the vibration device to provide a waterproof effect. The vibration device includes a spring conductor. The container body, the base, the shielding lid, and the cover are in communication with each other and the leakage prevention valve that has a valve hole is movably mounted in an opening of the cover, whereby when the contact massage lid is touched and pressed down, the leakage prevention valve is moved to press and push the spring conductor so as to automatically activate a vibration function of the vibration device and also to have the valve hole shielded.
Abstract:
A vibrator unit of a massage device of the present invention has a housing 101 with an upper portion configured to accept a variety of cup head attachments having varying predetermined designs and a jelly cap so as to vary the feel of the vibrator unit. The motor and control circuitry are configured for creating oscillatory vibrations and to utilize the magnetic repulsive force to create random oscillating motion.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a beauty apparatus comprising: a case unit comprising an upper case for accommodating powder and a lower case detachably attached to the upper case; a guide mounted to the lower case between the upper case and the lower case; a magnetic field generating unit mounted to an inside of the lower case between the guide and the lower case, for generating a time-varying magnetic field; a magnetic body coupling part moving through the guide within the lower case according to a change of a magnetic field; a movable plate mounted to the magnetic body coupling part passing through a guide hole formed in the guide on the magnetic body coupling part, for restricting movement of the magnetic body coupling part; and a puff pad enclosing the guide to vibrate according to movement of the movable plate.
