摘要: A laminate circuit structure assembly is provided that comprises at least two modularized circuitized plane subassemblies; a joining layer located between each of the subassemblies and wherein the subassemblies and joining layer are bonded together with a cured dielectric from a bondable, curable dielectric. The subassemblies and joining layer are electrically interconnected with bondable electrically conductive material. The joining layer comprises dielectric layers disposed about an internal electrically conductive layer. The electrically conductive layer has a via and the dielectric layers each have a via of smaller diameter than the vias in the electrically conductive layer and are aligned with the vias in the electrically conductive layer. The vias are filled with electrically bondable electrically conductive material for providing electrical contact between the subassemblies.

摘要: A port-centric controller system for a computer including a plurality of network ports implemented with a plurality of network controllers and a driver system capable of operating each of the network ports in either a stand-alone mode or a team mode and that monitors the status of each of the network ports. The controller system further includes configuration logic that interfaces the driver system to display port-specific graphic representations of the configuration and status of each of the plurality of network ports. The graphic representations preferably distinguish between each of the plurality of network controllers and each of the plurality of network ports. The driver system monitors the link status of each of the network ports indicative of cable status, and the graphic representations include a corresponding cable fault icon indicative of a cable fault at a network port. The graphic representations may include separate icons for a powered off status, a hardware failure status, a cable fault status, a powered off when cable faulted status, a hardware failure when powered off status and an uninstalled controller. The graphic representations may further include an icon representing each network port in a team of network ports and an icon representing a non-active network port in the team. The graphic representations may further include team, controller, slot and bus information.

摘要: An improved hydraulic knife assembly is provided for cutting potatoes and the like, wherein the knife assembly includes a cross-cut knife used to facilitate removal of a stuck potato. The knife assembly comprises a grid of knife blades encased within a knife housing adapted for removable in-line mounting along a flow conduit. Potatoes are propelled through the flow conduit by an hydraulic flow stream for cutting engagement with the knife blades as the potatoes pass through the knife housing. In the event that a potato becomes stuck at an upstream side of the knife housing, the cross-cut knife is receivable through an open slot formed between the knife housing and the adjacent end of the flow conduit to sever the stuck potato and thereby permit substantially unobstructed disassembly of the knife housing from the flow conduit. The thus disassembled knife housing and flow conduit can then be cleared preparatory to re-assembly and resumed normal cutting operations.

摘要: A simulation system for circuit design is disclosed. The system couples a schematic editor and simulator to allow incremental changes to a design under test without requiring prior shutdown of the simulator. The system uses a method which permits a wide range of changes to the design and provides a resulting netlist for the changed design. Changes can be made to the schematic which include changes in hierarchy, addition or deletion of components (including hierarchical components), addition or deletion of signals at any level within the design hierarchy, addition or deletion of interconnections of components at any level of hierarchy within the design, addition and deletion of interface ports for any component type, substitution of a new component for an existing one (including swapping hierarchical and behavioral descriptions), and alteration of parametric data such as device delay timing. The simulation continues to run after design changes are made. The method may be used in conjunction with hardware modeling systems.

摘要: A method of controlling the direction of a generally horizontal borehole drilled with a rotary drilling unit in a subterranean formation such as a coal seam. The method comprises predetermining drilling conditions for the formation being drilled and the equipment being utilized which will provide an upward buildup to the borehole trajectory, a downward change in trajectory, or a substantially level borehole trajectory. The predetermined conditions include the number of drill bit revolutions per unit length of borehole drilled. Periodic borehole surveys indicate to an operator which set of drilling conditions should be utilized for the next increment of hole drilled to maintain the hole within the boundaries of the formation being drilled.
