    摘要: First and second tape-pulling members comprise slanted posts and guide rollers adapted for engagement with the tape contained in a tape cassette. By the slanted posts and guide rollers, the first and second tape-pulling members pull the tape out of the tape cassette. Each of the guide rollers includes a tape-winding portion around which the tape is to be wound. First and second holding members are provided at positions where the tape loading by the first and second tape-pulling members is completed. Tape control portions, by which the tape disengaged from the guide rollers are controlled, are formed on the first and second holding members, respectively, such that they are located on the tape-outlet sides of the guide rollers of the first and second tape-pulling members, i.e., on the side closer to a cylinder. Each of the tape control portions is substantially at the same level as the corresponding tape-winding portions of the guide rollers.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for assessing the odor intensity of combustion gas produced from an internal combustion engine in which the odor intensity of combustion gas is obtained from the pH-value of an aqueous solution prepared from odor-producing substances, based on a predetermined relationship between pH-value and odor intensity. The odor intensity thus obtained strongly correlates with organoleptically evaluated odor intensity. Since the odor intensity of the gas is determined from the pH-value, the precision and the reliability of the odor intensity measurement are enhanced.

    摘要: A first ohmic electrode of a light emitting diode is put into contact with an electrode plate, and a second ohmic electrode of the same is put into contact with a mesh electrode formed by a metal net. The mesh electrode is mounted on a light receiving surface of the light receiving element. When a predetermined amount of current is supplied from a power source to the mesh electrode and electrode plate, light is emitted from that portion of the light emitting diode located around the second ohmic electrode, and the light passes through the spaces of the mesh electrode, then being received by the light receiving element. The light receiving element supplies an electric signal indicative of the light to a measuring circuit, whereby the output of the light emitting diode is measured.

    摘要: A push button switch employing a dome spring switch element mounted in a vertical orientation relative to a generally horizontal orientation of a bottom support plate, and a key top and associated plunger which are mounted for limited, reciprocating vertical movement. An actuator, comprising a coil spring and a pivotally mounted lever, interconnects the plunger and the spring dome and is responsive to and converts vertical downward movement of the plunger to a horizontally directed depressing force on the dome spring for inverting the dome spring in a snap action and completing an electrical connection between inner and outer contacts mounted within the switch element and underlying the dome spring. A dome spring of rectangualr shape affords improved force versus displacement and snap action characteristics, and a contact frame providing flexible support of the inner contacts reduces impact shock and wear produced by the snap action. A locking structure provides for locked interengagement of the key top and plunger and a stepped, flexible stop absorbs shock and reduces impact noise in stopping the return movement of the plunger from a depressed to a normal condition. A direct drive connection between the plunger and the lever reduces the amount of plunger movement and depression force required to actuate the switch under abnormal load conditions. A process for fabrication of the switch element by stamping and molding steps reduces costs and improves reliability of the switch element.

    摘要: A fuel injection pump serves to periodically inject fuel into an internal combustion engine. A movable control member serves to determine the quantity of fuel injected during each fuel injection stroke in accordance with the position of the control member. A permanent magnet is movable together with the control member. A stationary magnetically-permeable member serves to conduct magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnet. The magnetic flux conducted by the magnetically permeable member depends on the position of the control member. A Hall element unit serves to sense the conducted magnetic flux and generate a first signal indicative of the actual position of the control member. A second signal indicates a desired position of the control member. A device, responsive to the first and second signals, serves to adjust the actual position of the control member to the desired position thereof.

    摘要: A fuel supply control device is disclosed wherein, as pressure of fuel from a fuel injection pump increases, a piston responsive to fuel pressure temporarily reduces or shuts off initial flow of fuel from the pump to a fuel injector through a series of fuel passageways. A second piston may be provided in a passageway to control movement of the first piston such that when the engine operates under relatively low loads at low speed, the second piston causes the first piston to restrict fuel flow. When the engine operates at relatively high speeds and high loads, the second piston cooperates with the first piston to feed fuel to the injector at high pressure.

    摘要: An internal combustion engine is disclosed which includes first and second cylinder units each including at least one cylinder, a carburetor with first and second induction passages each having therein a throttle valve rotatable in phase with the other, and first and second intake passages connecting the first and second induction passage to the first and second cylinder units, respectively. The first and second intake passages are communicated near their upstream end. A swing valve is provided which is normally placed in a first position interrupting communication between the first and second intake passages and rotatable to a second position interrupting communication between the second induction passage and the second intake passage. Means are provided for rotating the swing valve to the second position at low load conditions.
